#1309.

The first weekend without my boyfriend was torturous. Kinda. When we said goodbye on Skype, I couldn't help but let a tear trickle down my cheeks. Gosh it's not even a week! )':

Howamigonnasurvivethis???????

Anyhow, I hoped all of you had a great weekend! August is coming and there are 2 public holidays in it! Awesome much :D I also went to check out boyf's temporary house at San Mateo via Google Maps. The internet is fabulous!

There's a swimming pool & gym too! Damn cool!

And a close up street view.

So shiok right? Like living in a chalet style house with your own patch of green land and parking space right outside your door. Boyf's gonna shift down south to Mountain View in September. He went to see the house there and it's superb! It's called Rose Cottage so you can expect alot of roses right out of your window! :D

Wahhhhh damn envious. Why wasn't I given such opportunity to travel/study? /:

Ok gonna stop here abruptly cos I'm tired. Did quite a bit of housework these 2 days & also watched 2 episodes of Gossip Girls! Gonna go camp at Skype and wait for boyf to appear (:

[edit/]

Hell, I never thought it was possible to miss somebody that much. Whoever said I was a brave girl was so wrong. I cried so hard just 5 minutes ago. Perhaps I was PMS-ing. Perhaps I suddenly miss baby too much. Perhaps I felt alone. I even closed my eyes and pretended my mummy came back to me. Pathetic.

As promised, here are pictures from the day of departure at Terminal 1. I told myself not to cry, and I managed to hold back my tears! (: *pats self on back* It was only at that parting moment, our last hug & kiss, that I couldn't control my emotions. Tears were rolling down my cheeks ):

Are they nice? I'm into digital scrapbooking now! Have always loved scrapbooking but it takes up so much time. Now that I have lots of free time on hand, it's good for me to pick it up again. The thing I love about digital scrapbooking is that I can save the file and close it, then continue whenever I want. Paper scrapbooking can get quite messy and the packing up is damn tiring.

What's more, I can re-use the materials! Talk about going green! :D

I just went on video Skype with baby. And it was the happiest thing that happened to me all week! Those on my twitter would read that I was kinda disappointed last night. Because I stayed up late, hoping to catch a glimpse of baby on video Skype.

A glimpse I caught indeed. Just 4 minutes online before he had to rush out ):

But I got to talk to baby today!!! Happyness x1000000000!!!

Pardon the low resolution because the connection was really bad. I was so so so happy, I couldn't stop smiling! ^_________^

Here's my gifts to the boyf for him to bring over. Nothing fanciful but it's the thoughts that count. L to R: photo frame I made 8 years back in school, Little Prince notebook because it's his favourite fictional character, hand written letter (bought the envelope from Daiso & it was so apt - Love USA!), cross-stitch of Lightning McQueen because Cars is his favourite show.

And to sum up this post, here are pictures from my A picture a day album.

First whatsapp images of each other! ♥

Even when we're 8,449 miles apart, you're still holding all of my heart!

#004 - 290711
I will always be right here, waiting for you (:

#005 - 300711
We skyped! :D

And special thanks to sis Meh, who accompanied me for lunch when I was all alone after baby's flight. And to Sabby, who consoled me over the phone. And last but not least, my best guy friend - Max! I was so touched when he called a while back to ask if I was emo-ing. Hahahaha. One funny dude. And all the text/facebook/whatsapp messages from all the people I love. Thank you so much. I really couldn't have survived without you (:

I'm always keeping the faith, baby. X

So there. The boyf's officially left for San Francisco and we're now 8,449 miles apart. He will be there for a year. 365 days. It doesn't seem too long, neither short, but I'm gonna miss him so much. In fact, I'm already missing him so badly, I cried myself to sleep last night while clutching his pillow.

Yes, I borrowed his pillow for a year just so I could hug something (that reminds me of him) every night. I'm sensitive to plush toys (especially furry ones) so all the bears & such are kept away from my bed.

I've also started this Facebook album "A picture a day ♥" inspired by people on Tumblr. Will post a consolidated one every week on this blog. Or maybe on my own Tumblr. Heh.

We prepared parting gifts for each other. And boy, what did I do to deserve such a sweet baby? First, he surprised me with this video 2 weekends before his departure.

When I saw the first 5 seconds of the video, I just ran to his bed and cried non-stop. I cannot bear to watch further or I think I would have died of a heartbreak )':

The boyf came & cuddled me and told me "we'll watch it together, ok?" So I managed to finish the video in between sobs. Tell me how can any girl not cry from this?

He also wrote me a song which he didn't want me to share online. He says his singing is horrible but I think he cried while singing. Anyhow, I will share the lyrics when I get them. It's really damn touching. I love you babyboy (:

We went to see a Buddhist monk 2 days before baby's departure. To ask for a good luck/protection amulet so he can bring over. At the same time, we asked for some advise; things to look out for etc. He very kindly gave pointers (albeit in riddles) and advice for all of us. Here comes the exciting part that involves me! Cos most of the time I was just standing by the side & listening to the interesting conversation.

He highlighted that boyf has to focus on what he wants as he's a "playful" man. If he's not aware, he might just fall into moments of folly. My heart skipped a beat when I heard that. Flings, ONS, road trips with girls. Images of the above just flooded my mind. His wise words were spoken in riddles so I couldn't make out exactly the message he was trying to convey. But I picked up ideas that boyf might turn gay O: or he might get married there. It was so scary. I must admit I was trembling slightly.

The monk then asked for both our palms & birth dates and asked if I love him. Haha what a question! He said, you must be prepared to wait & he might return to the States shortly after he's back. Good age to get married is 27, 28, 31 or 32.

He turned to the boyf "your girlf is very stupid. She will do whatever you tell her to, and she will be very honest with you. Both of you will be happy together, & success will come to you IF you know what you want."

Phew I heaved a sigh of relief. I was so afraid he would say you are not advisable to be together, or something along that line. Not that I wholeheartedly believe in "fortune telling" but these things can affect you quite abit psychologically. And what's up with the part when he said I was stupid?? Even though I agree I can be quite dumb /:

He did cautioned that "the woman you marry is not someone you are crazily in love with. You will marry the girl who jumps over the wall with you. She will be your wife."

Wow what a complicated statement! We all don't get it but it doesn't matter. Boyf & I concluded that the "woman he was crazily in love with" was HX. This is a long story for another day (: the part about jumping over the wall left us puzzled. Maybe it means overcoming a tough phase in your life?

As we walked home after the consultation, we couldn't help but pondered over what the monk said. Maybe my boyf will betray me when he's lonely in the States. Maybe he needs a woman to fill his emptiness. We had a long serious talk about all the possibilities & what expectations we had of each other. Whatever it is, I'm absolutely positive that he will be truthful to me. Or my mummy will make sure he pay for his actions. Muahahahaha.

Fling, flirt or fuck, baby better come clean! I love you. Xoxo.

P/s. Will post pictures soon! (:

Pardon me if this post is seemingly emo. I woke up this morning at 6am and had difficulty going back to sleep. Wonder why. So now it's late afternoon and I'm feeling cranky. Maybe I had been staring at the monitor for too long. Just thought I would blog a short one, before heading out for dinner with boyf & his crew.

The only photo I took during Commencement 2011. I'm so thankful my boyf is here. Maybe this is mummy's gift to me - knowing that I have no friends in Uni, hence giving me a boyf. Haha.

Whenever I chance upon someone recounting this year's Commencement, I somehow felt a tinge of sadness. Because my family/friends weren't there to see me graduate. Not that I actually mind, because it is but a ceremony. But I thought it would be a more joyous occasion if my loved ones were around.

If you're wondering, yes my daddy didn't want to go because of various reasons. I never thought he would actually decline this invitation. Looks like he's truly not a "social" person. I don't mind the least bit because I always feel awkward around my father. He's like a close stranger /:

Oh well, at least someone I love was there (:

Happy graduation my dear friends! Wish you had a good one. X

As you all know, my beloved boyf is going to the States in about 2 weeks' time *gasp!* and we are cherishing all the time we can spend together.

So I'm really sorry if I seem very busy (no joke, I really am). I cherish all my friends too and wanna meet up with all of you. But give me 2 weeks! After these 2 weeks I promise I'm gonna jio everyone out to keep me company. Hehe.

What happened recently: Pretty babe Sha's birthday celebration with Shingzers // Last treatment at Dr Scott's - will blog about this in detail soon! // New foodie places tried - Urban Bites & Mad for Garlic // My convocation // Visit to the dentist!

Amongst these there are plenty of other nitty gritty which I will blog more with pictures soon! :D

Work wise, we have yet another new member. Woohoo now 10-men team! And there are talks at the management level to bring my total team strength to 12. Cool or what! But I'm also jealous that there are 15 fresh grads joining us soon. They will be hired as direct Citi staff, i.e. permanent positions with benefits. So goooood!

A quick meet up with sis Meh on one of the weekdays. And I bumped into sis Ting on the way there. So coincidental!!! Her tummy is so big now I feel so excited for her. I keep stroking her tummy and cooed "aww so cute". Baby Clarisse must be thinking "this aunty crazy one!" LOL.

4 more weeks to the arrival of baby Clarisse. Please be a good girl and treat your mummy nice nice ok. Come out a healthy baby, we all love you! (:

I left sis Meh with the dinner place decision and she suggested Lenas at Nex, which is owned by MOF. Can you believe I've never been to Nex?! O:

We ordered Mixed Seafood Pasta and Smoked Salmon Pizza to share. As usual, check out my food review here!

And to satisfy our Apple Crumble cravings, we went popped by to Swensens only to see that the crew were so slow to serve us. We walked away, since sis Meh said there was Häagen Dazs upstairs. But to our dismay, she had a failing memory and it was Anderson instead! LOL. Sadly Anderson was already closed for the day so we had no choice but to head back to Swensens. I think the manager was secretly laughing to himself when he saw that we returned -.-

White Blondie! See all the fats bubbling?!

Sisters love, the bond so strong (:

Accompanied the boyf to his BBoy Competition at NTU Funk Jam Volume II! I was hesitant initially because I didn't want to be left alone in a room full of dancers. Firstly I'll be so out of place. Secondly I *might* be bored. But I decided to go anyway, to show my full support! :D

Wearing the necklace from myntshop.

I happily assumed that my 2GB SD card had plenty of space so I didn't bring along my 8GB one. And guessed what? I only filmed a few seconds of their battle before the memory was full ): Anyway I think it was a great battle (preliminary round) between Nitendo DS (Dennis & Seann) and Chicken Chow Mien (Stix & Nic). Hahaha all of them are friends so it was more of like a fun battle. But both did not get through to the next round.

So zai my boyf spinning on his head!

We spent the next hour chilling and Canteen 2 of NTU. And Stix told us his problems with his girlf. I really feel very sad for them because I can understand where the girlf was coming from. At the same time, I could also grapple with all the stress Stix was going through. Really hope they can work out somehow.

Got to know funny guy Nic too. And he is damn hilarious, like stand-up comedian that sort. I never imagined myself to be able to engage in lively conversations with bboys. Awesome people! :D

Took a bus down to Plaza Singapura to collect our book (ordered from Open Trolley) from Toy Outpost. This shop has a really cool concept by renting out "boxes/lockers" for people to sell their stuff. I spent a long time wandering through all the knickknacks through glass windows. It's amazing. Also, let me share with you people this great site - Open Trolley, which is like a local Amazon. The books are in-stock and delivery charges are so cheap! Alternatively you can conveniently pick it up from Toy Outpost. Great stuff!

Dinner at Itacho Sushi just because we wanted to indulge in atas meal once in a while (:

That's quite alot of stuff we ordered for just the both of us. Haha. Need some time to finish the food review for Itacho but overall it was a great meal at just slightly more than S$20 per person. Thumbs up!

2 of the weekday nights (:

Traveled all the way to Queensway after work just so boyf could (hopefully) but his cheapo sneakers. Obviously he didn't. I have never realized it was such a chore going shopping with him. Oh well, too bad he enjoys the cheap thrill of a good (& cheap) buy. More shopping trips to come :P

Dinner was settled at Alexandra Village Food Centre. Char Kway Teow and Orh Lua from this prominent stall that's named after what it sells. Food review on my food blog here! But verdict is thumbs up for Char Kway Teow & thumbs down for Orh Lua.

Gobbling down his dinner while I play Island Paradise + oily face/hair + sleepy eyes.

We also had Ice Kachang for desserts with added sweet corn (my fav)! Cheap & good. Hugeass picture!

***

Had cravings for chives pancake from Chinatown so we had that for dinner one evening. Food review here, here, and here! I keep having cravings for fatty food recently (read: ice-cream, deep fried food) it's terrible! ):

So oily but shiokkk! Chives & eggs FTW!

Walked to our favourite porridge place for internal organs porridge. Hahaha the name sounds so gross but it's actually damn delicious. Pig liver, pig intestine, cuttlefish, coupled with a plate of raw fish slices. Mmmm the goodness. Food review here!

Since it was still early, we decided to take a bus down to Bugis for desserts. How not to get fat you tell me!

Ah Chew Desserts. I had Yam Sago with Ice-cream, while the boyf had Aloe Vera with Lime. I think both are just average. Should really find out what's the nicest dessert there because the whole place was so crowded on a weekday night! Food review here!

Happy 13th monthsary baby. X

Last but not least, omg I want the HTC Cha Cha!!! It's touch screen plus QWERTY keypad! I really miss typing on QWERTY keypad ever since I sold my Blackberry. Plus it's only $98 why is it cheaper than my HTC Desire?! *stomps around*

#1302.

At this rate I'm going, I'm never gonna publish all the draft blog posts in my dashboard ):

Because there are so many things to talk about and so many pictures to edit. And I'm so easily distracted by the internet. Every time I try to focus blogging, my mind drifts away and think about my bookmarks and how I haven't visited them for some time. Then my itchy fingers go clickclick, once I start I cannot stop. Grrr see I sidetracked again!

I was going to blog about the happenings this week but I figured I have not talked about the week before, etc. I'm determined to finish that asap! Then do this week!

In the meantime, I wanna talk about my G-market loots! :D

Bought this pair of baggy pants for boyf for dance. Only S$19.50!

And a bag organizer for myself because my bag is perpetually like this:

HAHAHA so messy can! I wasn't really bothered by this (because I'm messy & lazy by nature) until I cannot find my wallet time & again! It is so frustrating especially when you are nearing the MRT gantry and you cannot find your ez-link card. And people behind you are like pushing you towards the gantry. And you have to stop there and then to fumble for your ez-link card and everyone behind you starts giving you The Death Stare.

LOL ignore last sentence because I don't have eyes at the back of my head so I wouldn't know if people are giving me death stares. But I can feel it sometimes.

So anyway, I found this on G-market selling only at S$3.99! Cheap or what!

My bag now looks like this:

Side by side comparison.

I can now whip out my ez-link card in 5 seconds! :D

Last but not least, super duper cute wire winders at S$1.59 each!

If you're wondering why the amount always ends weird (like $1.28, $3.57, etc) it works like that in G-market. Don't ask me why. Hahaha. The sellers like to end their prices in weird odd numbers. Maybe for good luck???

Ok that's all for now! I'm gonna edit more photos! (:

P/s. MAX IS BACK OMG! WELCOME BACK DUDE WE MISS YOU!!!
