Epic Excuses went back to India on Friday night for a family function, and will only touch down to Singapore on Wednesday morning. So Slacker and I have been tasked to cover his work. So much to do! ): plus stack after stack of work orders coming in like free flow. Urgh. New girl in the office today and I find her vaguely familiar. Until Teamlead told me "she was the girl who interviewed for your role as well". Ahh, no wonder! She's now one of the Unit Administrators. But I remembered hearing from the agent that she got a job offer elsewhere already. Hmm so why's she here now? Anyway, not important.

So, the past 2 days have been great bcos I left work at 6pm on the dot. But then again, not so good cos I was having a bad migraine. Hates migraines so much but it keeps coming to me. I'm beginning to dislike Slacker more and more. He's just too weird, and on a different frequency. There were many a times when I don't feel like talking to him but had no choice. At times like this, I'd rather be alone. Anyway, to happy stuff. Last night, the boyf and I skyped! So fun! No, we're not preparing for his upcoming US trip. Bcos his phone died and he was in school doing work, so we skyped. It was so awesome! :D Ending this post with a huge-ass picture of my baby acting cute hahaha.

Hi folks! It's finally Saturday. And thankfully we don't have to work this weekend. I've learnt to manage deadlines better now so it's not suffocating me. Just this week alone, I've taken up more tasks than my colleagues who'd been there for months. Reason being, yesterday was P's last day so he had to handover quite abit of work to someone. He said he "found me capable" so he handed over most of his stuff to me.

I'm quite happy to take up more responsibilities cos it makes me feel important. But then again, I need to monitor my workload and make sure I don't get too stressed up.

I've made a seating arrangement, just for the fun of it so you people know who I'm bitching about the next time I rant about work stuff. Heh!

Regarding my off in-lieu, I've yet to ask my teamlead about it. It's unofficial and not documented, and I've got a feeling my other 2 team mates, Slacker and Epic Excuses are not going to claim theirs. Hmmm, I shall wait till the workload stabilizes and restructuring confirmed before asking.

On Thursday, we had our first ever team meeting, since we merged. Previously there were 2 4-men team, but after some restructuring, we're now a 8-men team. Going forward, we'll be having weekly team meetings. Ugh, I hope it doesn't take up too much time or I'd have to do OT!

Work stuff aside, I had an emotional week - blame the PMS. I think I cried like every other day. Thank goodness for a supportive and understanding boyf (: ILUBB! We had an impromptu movie date last night too! Great show!

P/s. My BB's spoilt again ): I'm uber sad because I just had it changed a couple of weeks ago. I don't understand how the keys are always faulty. Time for a new phone, definitely not a Blackberry.

I'm drained. So drained. Just ended work a few hours ago and I'm at home, stoning in front of my computer now. Thought I'd blog abit to update everyone what I'm up to.

I still haven't gotten over the fact that my boyf is flying off to US in a few months. And he'd be gone for a whole year. But I'm also so caught up with work that I don't have the mental capacity to think too much. He promised to spend more time with me, to cherish all that we have now, but it's also unfair for him to travel an hour just to see me. I'm busy at work, he's also busy pulling up his grades. Oh well, no point thinking too much, come what may.

Since we got our access on Wednesday (or was it Tuesday) work has been piling up like a huge mountain. It's tremendous - the pressure to meet deadlines. The endless multi-tasking to serve all the vendors and hiring managers.

Friday was worst of all. Our team lead told us we'd have to come back on Saturday and Sunday to clear up all the backlogs. All the way from November last year, there has been so much unfulfilled requests. And new ones keep coming in like it's on free-flow. I was so stressed up by this piece of news that I told my lunch khakis, "Can tapow for me please? I don't feel like going out today."

They were so shocked. I'm thankful to have this bunch of friendly people. They told me I need to take a breather. And workload is heavy now but I shouldn't neglect lunch and de-stress time.

That was how affected I was ):

So for yesterday and today I was down at the office. My team members were all there. Received a little "warning" from my team lead regarding issues yesterday, but that didn't spoil my day. I've learnt to take things easy.

Alright, time to get some rest. Tmr's is Monday, again. Back to work again. I'm on a 7-day work week omg!

The past 3 days had been an emotional roller coaster ride for me. I cried so much, too much in fact. Boyf and I are not quarreling, we're more in love than ever. But the sad news arrived on Monday, that he got accepted into NUS College in Silicon Valley.

I know it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and I should be elated, but when I think of him not physically by my side, I started to crumble. My mind immediately gets to work to churn out mental images of a lonely me. One year, three-hundred-sixty-five days, I have to survive without my baby.

The pain's so much to bear. I went to the office toilet and hid in the cubicle for close to an hour. I was sobbing uncontrollably. I've never ever felt quite as heartbroken. Thankfully I got to talk to Peisi and Aimee, and they managed to cheer me up a little. My eyes were puffy and nose red, when I returned to my desk.

Actually I was already prepared for this. (Read here, here, and here) But I don't know why I couldn't take it when the news came. I guess reality hit me a tad too hard.

The boyf came down all the way after school, just to make sure I was ok. We had a good long talk, and lots of reassurance. He wrote this poem whilst in class. I was sure he didn't had the heart to pay attention. Similarly, I was hiding in the office washroom's cubicle sobbing my heart out.

He also rushed to finish up this piece of doodle. I really love it cos there are so much hidden meanings to it. It's also up to one's imagination to interpret. But what really moved me, was the note that came along with this doodle.

Last night while we were walking home, he had to sing this song zhu ni yi lu shun feng (loosely translated as wishing you bon voyage). Why is my boyf so evil? He triggered the tear glands immediately. And when I reached home, I had to go listen to "When you love a woman" and "Nothing ever changes". I shall share the songs next time (:

Just before I stepped outta the house today, the postman came and delivered my Gmarket parcel! Happyness :D

Cheap nail polishes from Korea, cute or what!

Met boyf at Ion Orchard 'cos we wanted to look at the Noise Singapore 2011 Festival Showcase. It was a pretty small exhibition but some of the works are really cool. I'm definitely gonna participate next year!

Took some pictures of those works which we liked. Check them out on FB!

Back to his house to cook yummy dinner. We had udon in 3 styles - in miso soup, in tom yum soup, in Japanese sauce (cold). After dinner I wasn't feeling too well, I blame it on the lack of sleep! So I went to take a nap while boyf continued cooking.

Guess what he came up with???

Crabsticks with mayo! Super sinful but delicious. I think he put a tad too much butter though, cos my whole mouth was full of grease that made me wanna puke. But thanks sweetie! For putting 2 of my favourite food together (:

*turns plate at an angle*
"You must take like that, see the middle got ♥ shape!"

AWWWWW! (:

Today's my second day at work, or officially the first day. And I'm feeling absolutely positive! Was having quite abit of negative thoughts yesterday, after looking at my colleagues and seeing how unfriendly they were (yes I've figured it's "safe" to talk about my colleagues here). But I made a new friend today, and he's my team mate. He'll be the one I'm learning from even though he's only 2 months into the job.

My team consists of my boss (abnn) and another colleague (also abnn) so the 2 of them can hang out and be bffs. Gosh the total abnn population in this business park is crazy. Close to 70% are abnn. Gee!

But work wise, I learnt a lot today. Had a team meeting this morning. Felt quite important sitting in a see-through meeting room along the main area. After which was lunch. But guess what happened after lunch?? My boss and the abnn colleague went to meet the big boss for meeting! Bootlicking starts and I was pretty disgusted about it.

Anyway, had a productive afternoon learning the system and covering the main duties and responsibilities. Even managed to propose some work efficiency improvements. Heh!

Managed to leave at 6pm on the dot. Met up with Shingzers for dinner at Bedok Point - my first time there! It was a pretty small mall, but 70% of the stores are selling food. Peisi and I were starving, so we went ahead to eat first. Sukiya for me and ten chasoba for bff. Kathy and Aimee arrived shortly after. Following dinner, we went to Hong Kong Sun Kee Dessert for drinks. The stuff there sucks btw, so don't patronize!

Had so much fun catching up, bitching, ranting about work, etc. Love them loads (:

Omg I look so tall! Hahahahaha :D

And... Check this out! My beloved sis Noi is one of the 100 most inspiring real women! Soooo super proud of her! (':

Howdy! So yesterday I went to sign my employment contract at KS, and today's my official start date! Yes, you heard right, I'm finally employed *big smile*

However, there were some miscommunication and mishandling of the paperwork, so my actual start date is tmr. Oh well, makes not much difference to me. Got to hang around the office abit, met my colleagues and big bosses, and I was free to go. Not sure if it's safe to blog about my colleagues but I'd better go on the safe side for now. So ya, my colleagues look ok! If you're really kpo as to where I'm working now, check out my facebook or twitter!

And have I mentioned how kawaii my boyf is sometimes!!

I went to meet him for lunch yesterday, and we had the 1-for-1 Macs deal. So awesome! 12 pieces of McNuggets only $3.95. I was asking where to meet him:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I nearly laughed out loud on the bus!

Last but not least, I'm sharing this "How to manage work and family", in other words, the so-called work-life balance that many of us are searching for.

Vice-president of a company used this method, which works very well for him.

"My job carries a lot of responsibility, and I have no choice but to bring quite a lot of work home every night. But I will not neglect my family because it's the most important thing in my life. It's the main reason why I work as hard as I do. I've worked out a schedule that enables me to give attention to my family as well as to mt work. From 7:30 to 8:30 every evening I devote my time to my two young children. I play games with them, read them stories, draw, answer questions - anything they want me to do. After an hour with those kids of mine, they're not only satisfied, but I'm 100 percent fresher. At 8:30 they trot off to bed, and I settle down to work for two hours.

"At 10:30 I quit working and spend the next hour with my wife. We talk about the kids, her various activities, our plans for the future. This hour, undisturbed by anything, is a wonderful way to cap off the day.

"I also reserve Sundays for my family. The whole day is theirs. I find my organized program for giving my family the attention it deserves is good not only for them, but also good for me. It gives me new energy."

You know the thing they say, about when you hate somebody, whatever he/she does will piss you off? Seriously so true. And I do mean everything.

And also the thing about how your mind is so wonderful. It can make you feel, by just thinking. It's crazy. The more I hate him, the more my mind comes up with reasons to support why I hate him. The more it processes thoughts, behaviours, actions, words, to tell me - I. Do. Hate. Him.

But it's strange, because I don't hate hate him. Or maybe I don't hate him enough to scream at him, and walk out the door. At least I still have some form of respect. No matter what remarks he make, I try not to let it affect me. I listen, I filter, I ignore. This happens more often than not.

I cannot wait to start work. Let me busy myself with my friends/ colleagues/ boyf.
