i am finally relieved of school work, for now. the past week have been tortorous. i know i sound damn pessimistic but that's school for you. haven't been treating myself well and look what happens now, runny nose + headache and i feel feverish ):


my presentation today sucked. this is the same module for which i did not check my email and my classmates thought i dropped out of school. totally had difficulty doing the questions. needless to say, my presentation showed how clueless i was.


the prof commented: "you're not analysing. this is basic 1101, no, less than 1101 stuff. everybody already know this."


he goes on to ask questions which i obviously do not have the answer to.

we had the most special bday celebration for Aimee on Friday (more like torture day for her). HAHA. but i'm glad all of us had fun spending the entire day together at different places. come to think of it, the 5 of us never really went out like this before. photos and details next time.


yesterday was Aimee's supposedly surprise bday chalet planned by her family but the surprise was ruined ): anyhow it was still a good makan, laughing, gossiping session for the girlfs :D


reached home at 12am this morning and immediately chionged my assignment after a quick shower. slept at 2am and woke up at 11.30am, only to realise i haven't started revising for tmr's Maths Midterm.

flipped through the textbook and attempted the practice paper. called Kathy to clear some doubts but she was almost as clueless as me. haha.


continued with the darn assignment and i'm still at it now.


school is starting tmr and i have not even touched a single tutorial. i'm doomed.

went jogging this morning with Chunhwee at Sun Plaza Park and he's really treating me like one of his recruits la. haha.

attempted to do research for my project but i suddenly felt super tired. fell asleep at 2plus and woke up only at dinner time.

i thought of sis Meh and i pray a miracle happens; may she recover as soon as possible! ^^

bro made the nicest jap curry rice this evening :D it's more delicious than any others i've tasted elsewhere, even though it wasn't quite prefect yet.

oh dear. time is not on my side. i'm juggling with so many tasks and still have so many more to-dos. i really wished i could have saved 2 hours each day during my holidays and use them all up now.

school work is getting so tough! lecture after lecture, tutorial after tutorial, the pace is so fast i can barely catch up. i know that the moment i lose focus, it will be the end. so i keep pushing myself. wonder how far i can go.

school aside, i have so many other misc things to do! like coordinating birthdays. 2 best friends' big day in a span of less than 60 days. but i seriously don't mind (: it's once in a lifetime, it's gotta be good. just hope everything goes smoothly and we'll all have fun!

also gotta settle like 5 birthday gifts in all. freakin' busy!!

i realised that i had some cheese in the fridge, and it's gonna expire soon. so i decided to make baked rice for dinner (:


the ingredients are really simple:

rice

button mushrooms

garlic sausages

chicken cut into small chunks

Campbell's cream of mushroom

melt some butter, fry the chicken, sausages & mushroom till chicken is somewhat cooked. then add uncooked rice. season with salt & pepper.

transfer everything into rice cooker. add water & garlic cloves.




meanwhile, i boiled potatoes for bro to make his damn delicious mashed potato! :D

tadaa! he added mixed veg too. super nice!

cooked rice

transfer rice into baking dish. pour mushroom soup generously.

put as much cheese as you like! bake at 200degrees for 25mins.

went shopping for Gabriel's bday gift (: Aimee & i were at PS but nothing caught our eye. so we walked to Taka under the scorching sun /:


settled the gift rather quickly bcos we got the salespeople to recommend. HAHA. nice & meaningful gift - pair of lock & key cufflinks!


lucky for us, i insisted on taking a photo otherwise we wouldn't have noticed that the price tag was still there =.=


dinner at Yoshiyona. haven't been there in the longest time. i expected the food to taste lousy but it's still as good! :D plus, it's only S$7 nett!

discussed project over lunch today with Meiting. we went to explore West Coast Plaza and dined at West Coz' Cafe. omg the food is cheap and good! it's like $5 nett only! :D

it was bcos of the student's special that we chose that little cafe. we shared a Seafood Baked Rice and Fish & Chips. yummy!! plus, the service crew is super helpful & friendly. i think i will patronise them weekly. HAHA.

and throughout lunch, i was assessing the profitability of the cafe cos they dont seem to be earning much. poor thing. but i would highly recommend everyone to dine there (esp. students) cos it's real cheap! (:

went to Public Finance tutorial and saw Leeling! my primary school best friend! :D we're both really happy - she pats my shoulder and say "primary school classmate!", i pat hers and reply "uni classmate!", and we laughed.

but i heard she met up with Maurise & Siling. i wasn't asked ): nevermind life is too short to be upset anyway. hee.

jogging with Kathy, Yushu & Aimee last Thursday, and then dinner with Weishan. we were determined to be later than late for Maths lecture, so at 6pm, we were still deciding what to eat. HAHA.


at 6.30pm, we walked into the LT and talked non-stop. we didn't even catch a single thing that the Prof was saying. LOL. at 6.50pm, we decided to leave the lecture since we were only there to disturb others with our incessent whispers.


and i very stupidly went to the wrong door and wondered why it wouldn't budge. thought the Prof locked them. HAHAHA. then i saw another door beside it.


we couldn't stop laughing once outside the LT.

Alice's 21st was a pretty one with the theme being "pink & white" but the journey to Ulu Pandan reminds me of the boat ride to Batam.

it was a weird combination just the four of us sitting around the table and talking randomly but we had a nice time (:

slept at 2.45am last night (this morning) cos i was watching 超级星光大道第五季. so nice! ^^


woke up at 9.30am this morning and went for a jog at Sun Plaza Park. i like the park cos they mark the road at every 100m so i know exactly how much i jogged. it's kind of motivating cos everytime i passed a 100m mark i feel happy. HAHA.


little incentives help me go a long way.


i completed 1.5km today which is not even Primary School standard, but heck, it was an improvement from my 1.2km. hehe.

today is a happy day despite it being my longest school day - 10am to 8pm. gosh. but it was a happy day for many reasons.


firstly, i had my favourite grilled fish rice at SIM :D don't know why there wasn't a queue. i think only the minority knows how to enjoy good food. wahahahaha!


secondly, was at The Atrium where we spent time laughing at other people's photos. i know we're being mean but really can't help it. oh btw they are doing some SIM Casting Call 2010 - which means they are "searching for fresh SIM Personalities to star in their campaigns for the coming year ... looking for dynamic and enthusiastic students to come forward to represent SIM GE on their posters, website, etc..."


so yep, as we were gossiping and giggling, some of the committee came forward and encouraged us to take our own photos and paste it on the boards too. of course, we were those typical shy Singaporeans not willing to pai seh ourselves.


and then Aimee pushed Kaden to the photo "booth"!

so he ended up as one of those "aspiring" representatives of SIM. teehee.

just bcos we say he handsome he fill up form also must pose lor :P

thirdly, i scored an A+ in my assignment.



yesss! my very first A+ assignment. individually done (: ok la, i did check with my friends here and there but overall it was still my hard work that paid off.


it was totally perfect, error-free, full marks.

lastly, Aimee came over to NUS at 4pm and i slacked with her & Janice at the canteen. super funny people la i just remembered we kept laughing. at what? i don't know. just random stuff :D
