I typed a pretty long blog post but decided to delete it.
Respecting each others philosophy and opinions shouldn't mean imposing your thoughts and comments on him/her. Because some words are better left unsaid.
Some of your actions irks me but I don't say it, not because I'm superficial or a hypocrite. But because I respect you and trust that you know what you're doing. Everybody is entitled to their own thinking so I don't pinpoint. If you think you're right and it's what's best for you - please go ahead.
I choose to leave comments, that might potentially hurt you, to myself.
That's it. One is enough. I don't need two. Just cannot wait to get out of this place!
-
Side note, baby I love you lots because we are different in many ways but fundamentally our philosophies are aligned (: #savemefromthisagony
More than happy that 2011 is ending. Hopefully it will close out a chapter of my misery. Please let time fly past so I can be with Dennis soon & we'll work towards a damn awesome future together!

Ann, Ja and I went on a crazy shopping spree one day during lunch. We spent almost 3 hours at the mall - thankfully it's near the festive season and everyone's kinda chillax :P
Look at the amount of shoes that the 3 of us bought!!!

My loots - 6 items for only SGD 47. Crazy or what!!! :D

And a couple of items I picked out at a flea market. Only 3 bucks each!

Sorry! I know I promised to blog all the birthday & Christmas entries together but I just realized I'm late this month! Here's my monthsary scrap page for baby boy. He said "Very nice! But why you choose a picture which I look so weird?!"
And I had to remind him that we haven't taken any photos for the past 5 months (how to take pictures when we're 8,447 miles apart?!) and I had to dig out old photos. Hee.

Sisters met up on my actual birthday for a simple celebration! And you know what!!! This is the first time I'm spending my actual birthday outside. Every year, I would be at home blogging, watching dramas, etc. Yes, even last year!! Can't remember why I didn't celebrate with Dennis - was it Aspire camp baby???
Anyway, pictures now!
Sis Noi treated us to milkshake while waiting for sis Ting to fetch baby Clarisse. We popped by the flea market at *Scape. It was indeed a great shopping place (read: cheap goodies) but the crowd was insane.

I love the milkshake! It was so 'gao' (thick) and creamy, and not too sweet!
Sis Meh and I bought individual gifts for each other. I love the Coach wristlet so much! She was right to say that I don't bear to splurge on expensive goodies for myself. Hence she decided to buy it for me. So sweet! Thanks sis (: And I got her the crocodile punch which she was eying for a long time. Hehe.

We adjourned to TCC where there is 50% discount for member's birthday month (first visit in that month). The food was excellent!
Thank you sis Noi & Ting for the pretty train cases & Papermarket goodies. Can't wait to make more pretty stuff for my dear sisters!

Cutie pie Clarisse baby made a special appearance and she was being such an angel! So quiet and shy. And we just ooh-ed and aah-ed over everything she does - like sneezing, yawning, drooling, fidgeting. LOL we will all make perfect mummies :D

This year I didn't get to spend my birthday with my dearest boyf but he was super sweet to surprise me with a bouquet of roses! Thank you baby, for sending love all the way from US of A.
A couple of days later, I received a handwritten letter from the boyf in the mail. I was literally jumping for joy when I see the USA stamp on the envelope. I've been secretly waiting for boyf's letter because I've sent him five (one each month), but received none. But I'm not complaining! No, really! :P
Anyway, imagine my happiness when I opened the envelope to see baby's handwriting spanned across 2 pages of card. Couldn't stop tearing as I read his message (:
Thank you baby - it's because of you I'm a strong girl. We can do it! Just 7 more months to go!

For Christmas, I made him a card. Hehe that's the only thing I'm good at :D

We also went on a Skype date & had so much fun chatting, making funny faces, watching him cook & attempted to feed me, etc. I love you baby! (:
While Skyping, I asked "Baby! What's that on your hand? You hurt yourself?"
He replied "Ya I burnt my hand while cooking just now."
Me in confused look "But how come you didn't tell me? I didn't realize you got burnt. Pain??"
He laughed hysterically "HAHAHAHA it's chocolate la baby!!!"
GRRRRRR he was eating a tub of B&Js by himself!
Still love you darling! (:

I broke down in office yesterday & today because I felt overwhelmed by the amount of work. I cannot imagine the workload that's just piling up on me. I can't breathe.
I don't even feel like moving my ass to fill up my water bottle; I don't even want to go to the washroom despite being super urgent. Every minute and every second just seems so precious to me. I feel all choked up.
I even raised my voice at Ying today and I'm terribly guilty. It's not her fault yet I shouted at her.
Thankfully the boyf was still up at 4 in the morning (his time) and he managed to console me for about an hour. He's always there to hear me rant, he's always giving good advices. Sometimes, I feel that he just doesn't listen & is always trying to solve my problems. But today, he listened, analyzed, give thoughtful suggestions and calmed me down. Even at 4am. Even when he's so sleepy & exhausted from a long day.
I love you baby (':

Amidst all the festive joy, I'm taking time out to blog. December is seriously my favourite month because I took leave today & it has been raining since 4am. I'm slacking at home in my PJs all day. Woohoo!
Too bad to those caught in the jam at Orchard Road. People should avoid that area. Totally.
I was there over the weekends and the crowd was insane! /:
Anyway, here's a short entry about boyf's recent trip to Orlando! See I'm not even blogging about my birthday (2 days ago) and Christmas but about my baby boy. I'm sooooo nice :D

It was one of the biggest Bboy event and the boyf wouldn't miss it for the world! No photos were allowed at the event so this was as many photos as I could obtain.
Have a sweet December all. X

Imagine my mood today when I didn't hear from the boyf in 20 hours.
It's twenty freaking hours omg! Totally #mondayblues
His message came later saying "there's no reception at Outbreak 7 the entire day".
Righttttt.

So anyway, by the time he called me, I was already in an OK mood because work was satisfyingly busy. And Ann & I had lunch at Ja's place today. Teehee. We cabbed there & cabbed back to office. Sweet (:
Whatever we talked about just cheered me up, I don't know why. This thought is always at the back of my mind when we talk about Bboy stuff "oh gee he is SO different from me! Can we survive being together???" I always hit that all time low thinking that he doesn't suit me because I don't have a passion for dance, much less Bboying. And then I take some time to reflect upon that thought and end up with "couples don't necessarily have to do everything together all the time. He has his time, I have my time. We engage in the things we like in our own time but at the end of the day, we always support each other come what may."
Glad he had fun over the weekends! What he loves = what I love, because I love him.

After talking to his parents over the weekends, I realized I found out another side of Dennis which I didn't previously known. Ok probably I've known it, just that I chose to ignore it, live in denial. Didn't think of how it might affect me & my future. But this weekend, I went and sit down & started thinking deep. This weekend's a good time to think because boyf's away in Orlando, Florida for Breakout 7!
So anyway, about his bad habits. I know it's not all that bad when you look at things in perspective. I mean, he doesn't smoke, drinks occasionally, filial to his parents, is independent. These are all good qualities.
But then I think about what Ying told me before - about how we cannot settle for less, we must go for what we deserve! Ying always tell me she doesn't want to marry her current boyf because he's just not good enough for her. But while she's finding someone new, it's good to have a boyf beside you. That's true.
I'm not saying I don't want to marry Dennis. Those who know me know how much I want to get married. Always talking about being a housewife - living my housewife dream. Hehe. But when you stop to think about it, life is not as simple as it seems. Not all rosy and happy. There's gonna be ups and downs. But when the downs happen way too often, it's a sign that happiness won't last.
Dennis' parents tell me that Dennis is not someone who voices out his thoughts (unlike kor) so they always have to dig out stuff from him. More often than not, he gives the excuse that "oh I'm too busy to let you know what I'm up to." And his last minute decisions shock everyone. Like the outward bound trip to Korea, and this NOC program to the States. Most recently, his trip to Orlando was kept in the dark. I know he doesn't keep it from them intentionally, but he doesn't feel the need to say. I even urged him to at least tell mummy but his reply was "she also wouldn't know which part is it. Anyway it's all in States."
Tskkk.
I know I wouldn't be in for surprises because I always dig out information from him like I'm a cop. I'm slowly beginning to get sick of it. It's no fun always pestering your boyf about his whereabouts & up-to's.
I've mentioned to him before and he tries his best. We have a shared calendar app, he always text me if he has plans. But as he gets busier, even the calendar's not updated. Texts are getting far and few between. Daily calls become weekly calls. Skype sessions are a rarity.
I guess this is how distance feels like.
Little day to day habits maybe be a spark for fury arguments in the future. So now I'm thinking twice.
Leaving you with this quote "Don't leave something (someone) good to see if you can find better, because once you realized you had the best, the best found better."
P/S. I picked out something cute and Kor & Ade thinks it would be perfect for your birthday. Hope you like it.

Hello there! This is kinda gonna be a long post. Enjoy! :D
Boyf performed at City Dance On Stage at Fort Mason on 3rd December and he told me it was such a blast! A pity I couldn't be there to watch, just like how I always like to watch him at CAC+US. Nevertheless, I'm still very proud of him!
I like how the boys + 1 girl (spot her!) all look so suave & cool. Bboys ftw!
-
This is my new pair of flats because my old one broke ):
Anyway, I think the ladies at Mitju are amused with me. Cos this was what happened:
Day 1 - bought shoes, size 39, asked for expansion.
Day 2 - collected expanded shoes, still felt tight but was in a hurry to go home cos I forgot to attach something important to the last email I sent. Reached home & tried on shoes but it was really too tight so I contemplated to exchange it.
Day 3 - heed boyf's advice & exchanged for size 40. So much hassle for a pair of shoes! And now, I'm officially known as the forty-girl because all my colleagues are laughing at my huge pair of feet.
-
I also had an early birthday celebration at Pioneer Wharf with my 'other' family on Saturday. Ade's so cute because she tried to whisper "buy cake" to kor so loudly I heard them :P Celebrated boyf's daddy's birthday at the same time cos he's just one day after me!

Thank you ah ma, uncle, aunty, jie, kor & Ade for singing me a birthday song! And the birthday cake's way too cute. Love this family lots (:
Meanwhile, our Black Friday loots arrived at baby's place but he's way too busy to pack. Hope he'd be done with projects & dance & work soon! Cos I miss him! Anyhow, here's my handsome in his new hoodie! :D

I recently chanced upon this blog of a girl in a LDR. It is so super sweet to know that faith & love can keep all hopes and dreams alive. What's a year apart - it's only but to keep our hearts closer to each other (:
-
Also went and bought Love More masks because I've heard good reviews about them. Tried the kiwi one and it's smelling so damn good! Unfortunately, my nose started peeling the next day so I'm not sure if it's too dry for my skin. But a budding pimple disappeared so I'm not complaining.
Oh maybe I'd been nursing a runny nose & rubbing too much tissue paper on my nose - hence the peeling. Shall try the mask again next week! :D
-
Christmas at Citi! ^^ I'm so hyped up about all the Christmas decorations after being invited on a tour at 7th floor. It's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! The amount of time & effort that people put in to decorate the office is unbelievable! Here are some of my favs.

Our team also wanted to put up some decorations but we didn't had time to do fanciful ones. So we just got some cute hairbands, santa hats, Christmas trees, lights & colourful ornaments to hang around our desks. Presenting - Vendor Management Reindeer Girls :D

I must say I really enjoy working with my team mates now cos they're all so funny & nice. Work wise, some people still cannot be responsible / complain alot / push work to others, etc. But off-work hours, they are all nice people. Ok, maybe except Tall Guy. Still don't like him.
A pity Jen is leaving the team!! ): She joined us for barely 4 months but she said she couldn't cope with the work load, and this is really not something she's interested in. We haven't had time to get to know one another better. All the best Jen! New girl coming on-board next year. Hope she's nice! (:
-
I was surfing Pinterest & I came across this rope bracelet tutorial here.

It's just so awesome to be able to make something nice from things which you were about to discard. Furthermore, the tutorial is so simple! I decided to give it a try and I'm glad mine turned out great. Can't wait to wear it out!

Last but not least, I wanna share this video I stumbled upon on Facebook. It's so touching I cried like a baby. As in hug my knees to my chest and bawl. It probably meant a lot more to me than many others because it's the exact words I want to tell my mummy. That I miss her so much (':

My dad used to tell bro & I "don't talk when you're at the dining table. Eat your food." Hence we always kept very quiet at meal times - only the parents were allowed to talk their 'adult-talk'. I guess being fierce to your kids is a good way to discipline them but look what happens now? I don't even open up to my dad anymore.
When dad couldn't make it for dinner, mummy, bro & I always had noisy dinners. We sing songs, talked about everything, laughed loudly, cause mummy was the talkative one. The moment dad appeared in the doorway, our lively chatter hushed to low whispers. To me, he's always been the grumpy stern dad.
These years, I've been having silent dinners every night. I hate how it shapes me to become someone who's uncomfortable with parents. Be it boyf's parents, sis Meh's parents, or friends' parents, I'm always very polite for fear of being rude. I don't want people to say "she behaves this way because she doesn't grow up with a mother."
I don't know if having a mummy would make me feel more comfortable with parents. But one thing's for sure, I've been brought up to be respectful and polite, and these values have served me well.
Sorry for the random rambling; these thoughts crossed my mind over dinner. Now to happy stuff. Watch this video if you haven't!
It's so touching! I cried so much probably because I miss my boyf and wished I could be like them visiting their loved ones. But then again, I'm way more lucky because some of them didn't return home for 10 years. Damn! 10 long years without seeing their children grow up. That's a real sacrifice. I'm so happy this project made their wish come true. The power of love - it's amazing (:

At work today, Ja suddenly looked at me and smiled. She said "sometimes it gets hard isn't it? Just wanting him to be by your side so much?"
It was such a sweet thought that I almost wanted to cry.
Ja was away from her then-boyf for 2 years and finally she decided to come to Singapore. Shortly after, they got married because it was against their culture/tradition to cohabit with the opposite gender.
I started talking to Ja about how much I miss Dennis and that I'm scared of the earthquake that would hit SF any time. And who knows, that I might never get to see him ever again. *shudders*
Don't even wanna think of that.

To all of you who don't know how lucky you are, cherish. XX

I AM NOT PAMPERED PLEASE.
Stop saying I am. I know what it's like to be pampered and I absolutely hate that.
I like to be independent. If it is my duty & responsibility, I would like to take it up. I will do what I ought to. If someone else likes to fuss over me like a little child, I have no control over it. And that someone should not dictate what I should / should not do.
It irks me. Period.

I've been sending letters to my dearest every month and the average delivery time is about 8 working days. But this month, the postman seemed to be incredibly lazy! ):
I mailed the package out on 3-Nov, expecting it to arrive on 14-Nov, but there were no signs of delivery on that day. I was quite upset & thought the mail got lost.
I even hinted the boyf to check his mailbox and he replied "nope nothing". I was super duper sad cos this month's package was special! Imagine my relief when he texted me on the morning of 24-Nov "see what arrived baby!!"

WAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
H a p p y n e s s.
I really really thought the mail got lost and wanted to cry already. Thank goodness it was just a delay!
Anyway, here's what's so special about this month's package! It not only has my monthly love letter, I also enclosed 3 gummies & a beanie for him!

I thought about sending a whole pack of baby's favourite gummies to him but shipping alone costs twice the amount of the pack of sweets /: So I cleverly picked 3 and hid them under the beanie. Hur hur.
And boyf with the beanie! :D

P/s. I'm thinking of changing the layout of my blog but no inspiration. So I added a countdown widget on the right. Hahaha small change better than no change!! #selfconsolation

Ever since the boyf introduced me to Pinterest 6 weeks ago, I've been hooked on it! It has almost became a daily affair for me to log onto Pinterest and see what cool stuff are pin-worthy.
Here's a snapshot of my board.

It's similar to Tumblr but I find Pinterest more useful as you can categorize your pins into boards. I have 12 boards at the moment. Here's 2 of my favourite:
This is dedicated to boyf; includes all the stuff we could do when we're bored, all the words I missed out to say to him, all the thoughts & feelings.

And this is for my creative needs! Some of these ideas are pure genius!

Cool or what? There's lots of nifty craft ideas, home tips & tricks, and creative storage solutions. Super amazing! Everytime I'm on Pinterest, I feel that my creative juices are running wild.
Ok, back to pinning (:

Yoohoo people! It's the Thanksgiving & Black Friday period so that spells fun & shopping!!! I'll blog about the recent 2D1N camp in a bit, but for now, it's crazy sale time :D
I wrote down a list of stuff I like for the boyf to go shopping on my behalf. But boys being boys, he decided it was way too crowded and went back home instead. Indeed, there were barricades all around and long queues were already forming outside the malls at midnight. It's crazy how people behave. You have to see it to believe it!
Even it's for free, I wouldn't go shopping like this!!!
Anyway, boyf and I decided to go shopping at the comfort of our own homes. Alot of the sale pages were not available outside of the States, so I got boyf to share his screen with me & we went online shopping. Hehe super duper fun!! :D
In all, we only spent USD 134.59 (inclusive of shipping & taxes) for 14 items!!! :D
There were 4 tops, 3 outerwears, 2 pants, 2 caps, 2 skirts & 1 dress. Can't wait for our loots to arrive. Hope ya'll have a great weekend!
With love xoxo.

My boyf just called me a while ago to say how lucky he is to have to me, because I'm a very special girl. I'm so glad I could be The Best Girlf to him (: It was a random/sudden realization because 2 of his friends at the NOC Program broke up with their girlfs recently. He said to me "you know, I'm scared one day I'll be so busy that you wanna leave me".
I told him I won't ever do that! And that a break-up would probably come with a warning first. Hahaha. I'm proud to say I'm a supportive girlf to my baby and hope we continue this way for the next 8 months apart. It wasn't easy and it's definitely not going to be. Nobody ever said it was, but it will be worth it.
Cheers to our love sweetheart! xx

Today marks one-and-a-half-years with my boyf, and I just want to say that I'm more in love with him than ever (: 18 months is not exceptionally long, neither is it just a blink of an eye. Like all relationships, there were ups and downs. And at every obstacle we face, we grow & learn more about each other. It's such a blissful feeling to be in love, to have someone by your side to share your happiness, to have a shoulder to cry on, to have a listening ear to your rants. I really appreciate you tons baby! Happy monthsary! (:

I kept procrastinating watching Rainie's drama because once it's over, I die a little inside. But since I've gotten hold of The Big Bang Theory Season 4 & Gossip Girl Season 4, I feel that I can afford to finish this drama serial!

Some say it's a sequel to the highly raved Fated To Love You, but I don't see the link except that in this drama, Rainie got drunk & find herself married when she's sober. Hahaha. Some parts are super draggy but otherwise a very entertaining serial! :D I gave it a 5-star rating probably because I'm biased :P
More pictures!

Ok hope you guys had a great Sunday! Mine was awesome even though there were awkward moments while lunching with boyf's family earlier today. It's a challenge to myself & I'm proud to say I've overcame it! Kudos :D

I was surfing on Pinterest when I came across this beautiful camera project, so I clicked on it and it got me here:

Guess who???
It's Merdrey! She was my teacher/ instructor at one of the scrapbooking classes I attended with sis Meh. I was hopping with excitement at stumbling upon her blog that I can't stop reading page after page. It's such an adrenaline rush reading through something which you're so passionate about.
I guess that's how baby feels when he surfs funk music stuff & bboy-ing goodies! (:
Anyhow, I was really inspired by this entry. She said & I quote:
Oh gosh - it speaks what I feel! Sis Meh and I often discussed about how good it would be if we could open a small cafe or spend time doing what we love - baking & scrapbooking, yet not to worry about our finances. It would really be like a dream come true! One day, we shall summon the courage to do what we love too. Life is short - take the leap of faith! (:

I'm getting the jitters from thinking about lunch tmr. Yes, I'm that nervous! But life shouldn't be all smooth-sailing. Hence I shall treat tmr as a challenge to myself! The more I'm scared of meeting them for lunch, the more I dread it & the more upset I feel. But if I challenge myself to overcome that fear, I would probably be darn proud of myself thereafter. Aja aja Qin! ^^

I can't wait to go for more scrapbooking classes after chancing upon Merdrey's blog. And I'm in the midst of making Christmas cards. There are so cute!! I hope my recipients like them (:

"I was fortunate to be invited to the CHA Summer show
just last week together with Elaine and Cynthia from
Laine’s Papeterie & PaperMarket (where I work full-time)
and it was a fruitful experience. Just a year ago, I was
still sitting in my office chair wondering how great it would be
if I could make a living out of what I love – crafting
and scrapbooking. With God’s grace, I’m now living my dream.
And for that record, I believe that you can to.
What would you be doing now, if you had the opportunity?"

Hello on this significant date 11/11/11. This morning I went to take my BTT at CDC and guess what? I passed without studying! Damn lucky cos out of 50 questions, there were 7 questions which I wasn't sure of. I prayed hard & managed to get 5 wrong. The maximum number in order to pass. Must be because of my lucky PC station 11 that contributed to the overall lucky vibes.
Randomly walked into Snip Avenue on my way home and got a haircut. Now my fringe looks kuku but my sweetest boyf still said "wah baby you look so pretty!" after seeing my whatsapp kuku photo. Hahaha he knows how to make me happy.
This Sunday we are going to celebrate jie's birthday & I'm super scared + nervous maximum. Because I am never comfortable with boyf's family without him being around. The monthly lunch date with his parents are already awkward enough. I cannot imagine sitting with jie & grandma too ):
Please please please make it a short & simple lunch ):

Sun: 1000 - 2200* Closed from 1600* -1800
*Kitchen closes 30 min before **Kitchen closes 45 min before

And now, food pictures to share! :D
Mediocre fries.

You can choose the kind of butter to accompany your pancakes. My favourite is the garlic & herbs.

Smoked salmon pancakes.

Garlic butter prawns - my fav of all the savoury pancakes!

Berries with vanilla ice-cream.

It was full house when we arrived (my bad for not making a reservation earlier) so we were given al freso dining option. It was pretty warm & we requested to be shifted indoors once there were seats. The very kind girl also helped take a photo with our food!

Shingzers for life - I really like this picture I took of them! Au natural.

We adjourned to The Society Cafe @ Plaza Singapura (sadly it has since closed down) after brunch for chill-out & photo-taking!

It was funny how all of us were seated together but were all busy with our phones. Tskkk!

Actually I think we were busy checking-in & commenting on each other's reply :P
The boyf joined us shortly after. We could use a polaroid photographer! :D

Chose 2 cakes for the birthday babe.

Happy birthday Sha! (:
