just a quick weekly update! and then i'm gonna stop blogging till my exams are over (:
had my last presentation of the semester on Tuesday but i didn't presented at all cos i was late ): the tutorial was at 12pm, but i only reached school at 12.30pm. haha. upon reaching, i realised my group mates had already presented till question 5. i was supposed to present question 2 but i guess someone presented for me already. i didn't bother to ask -shrugs.
and then i came down with slight sore throat. i'm not sure what it is, just felt like a fishbone stuck in my throat and it's been there for more than a week already /:
on Wednesday we had our last Marketing tutorial. ahhh, i'm going to miss this class. the tutor is so nice, the company is great, i've made new friends (: awesome! after tutorial, we went to mug in the study room till dinnertime.
skipped my very very last tutorial of the semester on Friday and went to mug instead. hahaha. i realised i'm really lagging behind in all modules so kinda scared now.
alright, all the best to everyone taking your exams soon! we shall work hard together (:
p/s. grandpa finally discharged! (:

#1109.
i'm updating the guides alumni blog more frequently than my personal blog!! -.-
anyway, last week was mostly spent at HSC with the girls. with 2 major ceremonies back-to-back, the Enrolment and the Passing Down. it was pretty emotional with the leaders all tearing (me included!!) HAHA. you can read more here. so that was 3 days gone.
on Friday, Dns spent the whole day teaching me Maths. we were at Biz study room from 11am to 6pm! omg. it certainly helped me alot in terms of working out sums faster. thankyou so much!! ^^
and BFF and i had a dinner date at Sizzler's! :D
visited my grandpa at SGH on Saturday. he looks really weak and frail and the doctor don't allow him to walk! for fear that he might fall and we'd blame the hospital. but i feel so sad for him, seeing him lying in bed all day ):
he's been in there for 2 weeks now and wants to go back home. i hope the doctor discharge him soonest!
this week is week 13 - last week of school! shit, why is time passing so fast?? suddenly, i don't wanna graduate. i wanna remain a student, and continue skipping school. HAHA.
ok, gtg do tutorials! (:

i will be eternally grateful to Dns for teaching me Maths. we spent 2.5 hours last night trying to solve some differentiation. he's super patient but i guess he must be thinking "wah how dumb can you get?"
HAHAHA. seriously, i can't even see some of the simple fraction manipulation. Maths is all about spotting patterns, which i'm really slow at -.-
OH ANW! i passed M5!!! woohoo :D
i was super happy! grinning like an idiot while walking to the train station. previously, you could see your results instantly on the screen, and the invigilator will print out the slip for you. so it was like not so nerve-wrecking.
but today, the receptionist passed to me my results in an envelope!!! obviously i didn't dare to open on the spot. cos deep down i was prepared for the worst. just less than 2 weeks to study leh! and i didn't even finished the mock papers. plus i was late and forgot my NRIC, blah, blah. totally not in the best form for taking exams.
so at the lift lobby, i slowly tore open the envelope but still didn't dare to peep! cos the receptionist was looking at me.
luckily when the lift came, it was empty!!! i just ripped the envelope apart!! the slip read "PASSED".
phew! (:
anw i thought i would get a score, like upon 100. cos the minimum passing mark is 75. but it just stated passed. well, good enough! at least i didn't waste that 100+bucks (:

grandpa was admitted to hospital again last Saturday. i just got to know that my aunts and uncles are gonna send him to a nursing home when he's discharged. it really breaks my heart to see such things happening in my own family. if mum was around, she would never agree ):
when my aunts and uncles were young, it was my grandpa who brought them up by working hard at his fruit stall during the day, and at the hawker centre at night. my mum, being the eldest child, had to stop school, and work with my grandpa, just so there was enough money to send the rest to school.
there are 7 siblings in all (including my mum). my grandpa provided all the financial resources to the family, by working hard, without complaints, for many years. but now that he is sick, none of them wants to take care of him ): all of them are willing to send their terminally ill father into a home that's not home.
it saddens me, yet i can't do much.
i know what it's like to look after someone in his dying days. it is never easy. i have been through all that so i know. but isn't caring for your father the least you could do to thank him for everything? have they all been so caught up with their lives that they had forgotten what is filial piety?
yes they may have their difficulties. but i'm sure there is an alternative to nursing home. it's just a matter of whether they are willing to make small sacrifices. who wants to die in a nursing home???
definitely not me.
i'm glad we (dad, bro & i) struggled through and gave all the love, care & patience we could ever give. i'm glad mum passed on at home, on her own bed, with us by her side.

#1106.
it was a really bad day today.
firstly, i was late for my M5 exam cos i was too engrossed studying. didn't have the time to finish the mock papers given by Vrn and i had to rush out of the house.
reached the train station only to see the escalator choked full of ppl. i.e., i can't run to catch the train!
reached the exam room, late by 10 minutes. and realised i forgot to bring my NRIC. fml. the invigilator got me to stand outside the room while he checked if i was still allowed to take the paper.
2 minutes later, he came out and told me i could sit for the exam but would not be able to get my results on the stop. i had to go back with my NRIC on the next working day. only then will they release my results.
ok lor, i had to agree. what choice do i have?
sat for the 2-hour paper. the air con was blasting. i was super cold and my mind was blank. luckily i checked through my answers cos i made quite a few careless mistakes.
so i left the exam not knowing if i passed or failed ): whatever it is, i tried my best!
