i'm fucking annoyed with my proj mates. i don't care if someone happens to read this or what but i'm seriously very upset. already feeling very terrible from my flu, now this.

last night, we were supposed to have an online discussion at 10pm but nobody was online till 10.30pm. but even then, only 1 girl was online so i told her i wasn't feeling well and needed to rest early. she sounds pretty nice and all so we decided to meet the following night, at 9pm.

i went ahead to send emailS to inform the others about the discussion tonight but none of them replied.

plus, this person who initiated the email chain actually left out 1 girl. who happens to be my friend's friend. that's why i knew.

anw, tonight, as usual, nobody's online. i'm so fucking pissed off. it's already 9.50pm, i've waited for 50mins.

and our presentation is on coming Mon. how fuck can this shit get?

i'm so sick i just wanna die )))))))))):

ohman. i haven't updated in more than a week. maybe i'll do a mass update after mid-terms.

right now, i'm feeling damn sick. blocked nose + sore throat + feverish. damn i don't know what's wrong. i haven't been stressing myself up lately what! maybe i'm too tired...

chingay 2010 was awesome! :D made new friends even though i'm oldest of the lot. one of them even thought i was 16 la. hahaha. totally made my day.

got to watch parade on both days. the fireworks & firecrackers were sooo nice :D my first time hearing & seeing firecrackers. it was deafening. many ppl covered their ears but i just immerse myself in the loud crackings (?) super shiok.

i was serving the VIP area (sort of) and got to see the Tampines GRC ppl. and helped OKM take photo!! wahahaha. also bumped into 2 ex-colleagues.

so ya, that was 2 days burned. and before that, was busy with CNY & family matters & grandpa admitted to hospital. he still is in there and things are not looking good ):

right now, i need to rush submissions and i have 2 mid-term papers next week. argh. super damn packed. hope to get well soon. bye see ya'll in 2 weeks (:

day 2 was so much more fun! mainly because, the seating arrangement problems were settled.

so what happened ytd was, some of the seats printed on the tickets were 'ghost seats'. meaning, they didn't exist. so as an usher, i didn't know where to seat them! omg it was so chaotic. plus, my group (20 ppl) was the only group covering the whole promenade so we had only 2 ppl at each gate. of cos, all the gates were affected and we had to run up & down, looking for our leaders, finding PA ppl. all these while trying to settle the audience, please those unhappy ones. plus, my gate had tons of old ppl from some CC and they were walking super slowly and jamming up the whole place. CHAOS. wow, it was really challenging and i must say, a highlight of this volunteering experience (:

so what happened today was, the PA ppl were really very thankful we handle everything well ytd. when they praised us, the sense of achievement i felt was so tremendous! like giddy with happiness and all.

we did our 'Go.... Chingay!" before running off to do our duties. i really appreciate all the leaders & PA ppl who came round asking us if everything was ok, and making sure we keep ourselves hydrated (:

today's dinner was worse =.= shingz food!

because of the slight drizzle, i got to dine with sis Meh at the garage!

rain stopped, back to work and we had to wipe seats!! fml. luckily most of the seats at red promenade was folded. hehe.

met sis Meh for lunch & to buy sis Ting's bday gift before heading to chingay 2010, as volunteers (: as usual, we were late. my leader had already termed me "the ultra late one" bcos i was super late during the training sessions.

and part of the reason why we were late was...

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

and that didn't just stop at the ladies.

this is what i captured while walking towards the F1 pit building. now i know where everybody took their 'classic flyer photo'. hehe.

had our super early dinner at 4.30pm. and i realised one of my fellow group members is an NUS undergrad majoring in Econs too! we soon became friends. haha.

then we had to listen to R who really ought to shout lesser and he was like moving here & there on his segway. almost fell down too. haha.

proceeded to our various stations. sis Meh was at the Blue sector while i was posted to the Red Promenade. VIP area! :D we had to arrange the pom-poms & fans on the seats under the terrible heat! not easy man.

when it was all done, we took a break while waiting for further instructions.

i didn't get to see any VIPs at my sector during day 1. but my ex-manager asked me to help her take a photo. i doubt she could recognise my anyway cos i wasn't directly under her. haha.

day 2 was more visiting. but this year, after lunch, we headed home cos the afternoon program was changed to bbq in the evening instead.

got home, grabbed my camera, changed into shorts, and went to meet sis Meh, Noi & Sharon :D

we were all dressed in blue-grey-purple. haha.

walked to Zirong's house, which is only a street away from Meh's place.

his mum prepared 'light refreshments', which was more like lunch! haha. so sumptuous can. still got noodles, side dishes, curry, claypot rice, shepherd's pie. omg.

to the living room where Zirong got us to pick numbers for TOTO.

he kept asking us to gamble but bcos this year is not a good year (financially) for Dragon babies, we ignored him & continued playing with baby Tara. hahaha.

until he suggested to gamble with food instead.

see, sis Noi so excited to place her bet, in love letters. she was hoping she would lose so that she can finish the whole tub. wahahahahha.

CNY day 1 was super super boring. other than mj-ing, collecting ang pows & snacking, there's basically nothing much that we did. dad won a few bucks from mj though and that really caught bro & i by surprise. haha. we didn't know he's a pro! :P

this year, we went to grandma's (mum's mum) place for reunion, as usual. but what was different was that my cousin and i were in charge of area cleaning this time round.

it used to be that the unmarried children (2 aunts + 1 uncle) will do spring cleaning after dinner. but this year, aunt J was diagnosed with some neuro-disease such that her vision is disturbed. she can no longer see clearly and is almost one-eye blind.

aunt G had slip disc so she obviously couldn't do housework. uncle L found a hole in his colon few days ago and underwent an op so he was medically unfit.

sigh, baby boomers generation are really getting old.

so my cousin, Ling, and i had to do the dishes, sweep and mop the place and wash the huge tablecloth at the rooftop. haha. yes my grandparents live at some private house with rooftop. but it's a really old building /:

bro was in charge of hanging all the CNY deco since he's so tall.

while i was at the rooftop with Ling, we had a little talk and somehow i find that she's actually a nice girl (we used to have lots of misperception abt everyone in the family - long story). 4 years older than me but she's already a manager at a pharmaceutical company. she has all the luck (:

all in all, a good reunion. but i wonder how many more years will this tradition go on...

finally had my first meal in school after 5 weeks. met up with Kathy for lunch, then slacked at Central Forum while waiting for Yushu. we got to enjoy a little performance put up by Kent Ridge Hall, called Vday Inspire or something.

i think it's v-day song dedication, etc. and guess who we saw singing on stage???

random baking session at Peisi's house this morning. we attempted fruit tarts. it was 70% successful because the custard cream won't set. arghs. it was all runny even after hours!

phew, submitted my assignment just in time but i don't think i did it well. ah whatever. note to self: NEVER to start an assignment the day before.

i didn't even finish it last night. made use of the 2 hr break to finish it up. and just when i want to print it out, the Ezlink kiosk at AS7 was down. fml.

ran to the library and got it printed. then ran to Biz for tutorial.

met sis Meh for lunch at J8 and to collect our Chingay tee before heading over to Finexis' focus grp about Gen Y.

the whole 'discussion' was about financial consulting services (which their company provides). it made me think about my career path and whether i should go into banking/finance. ok, maybe i think about it again after my internship.

CNY came early cos we were rewarded $30! yay! :D

today's Chingay training is damn short and no time wasted at all. probably because sis Meh and i were deliberately late. haha. so ridiculous lor, when we entered the school, the Chingay/PA people ask us to run up to the hall cos we were late -.-

my grp leaders are very 'on' people, they made us play games like good ol' orientation times. not bad, we played Blow Wind Blow & MRT Names. and finally the whole area 2 played Squirrel Hunter. haha.

hmm, area 2 = VIP area! will i really get to see Very Impt ppl???

anyway since we're on the subject of volunteering, i nearly signed up for the OCBC cycle thing. the reason why i did not, was bcos the training date falls on Chingay -.-

this week i skipped Development Econs lecture and International Econs lecture. and on Monday, i left Marketing lecture halfway cos i was falling asleep! so that means i have lots of webcasts to catch up on. nvm, since this is my last year at school, i should skip as much as possible! or i won't be able to enjoy this freedom when i start work. hehe.
