headed to sis meh's house for steamboat preparation :D i was dumb enough to forget my camera. i brought batteries & tripod though. i love marketing at NTUC; they have such a wide variety of food. plus its not warm & smelly (if you dont count the seafood section). we bought yu sheng, not noticing the absence of shredded veggies. HAHAHA. dumb sis.

zirong, rynel, sharon & sis ting came in time to eat. played with lil' Davien (: he's such an adorable boy. made our own yu sheng with shredded carrot and cabbage. rynel the chef in action.

went to the poolside to join in the CNY celebrations. i thought the lion dance was boring. back to sis meh's place where kenny, evelyn & zhiquan joined us for lo hei. messiest lo hei in history with everything strewn all over everywhere.

max came and joined for blackjack gambling. kenny was the ultimate winner; he ban-luck 4 or was it 5 times (?) and ban-ban once (?). and when he was the dealer he collected money from everyone )): he wasnt even wearing a single red. roars. sis meh was the runner-up with her purse bursting with money!! :D

Friday is officially dubbed "Dreaded Day of the Week" cos my butt hurts from the cold & hard lecture hall seats, my eyes starts giving me double-vision, and my head is throbbing.

the Bike Quest shirts are in production already! woohoo :D excited to see how it will turn out to be. its gonna be a singlet though. and we're having the yellow version while the participants get the white. i guess red is damn lousy or shijie would have opted for it. i think.

did i mention how glad i am that the next two days are weekends?

Bike Quest's deadline's tmr and we have only 2 (or was it 3) submitted registration forms. this is bad. dont tell me we aint even gonna hit the lowest record of 17?

so damn sleepy i nodded off during Geog lect today. so i left halfway to take a train home. and bumped into adeline ((:

i keep bumping into random people. like jorine, again! twice already. and desmond & yeehong today. i cant believe yeehong's 26. super duper old.

feeling a little sick shit. must be all the work piling up. projects are commencing. damnit. i know i look cui. like im sleepwalking. cant help it.

and organising for gatherings is one hell of shit work. i hate it!!

then off to 老大's place. his pretty mum cooks great food :D hahaha. gamblers were playing blackjack. sis meh's my personal tutor. ya im sucha good girl i dont gamble (: max left for more visiting. chunhwee left for book-in. sis meh & i left shortly after too. i bet zirong and his group of gamblers stayed till the next morning. off to sis meh's place and was invited for dinner (: my first & prolly the last lo hei this year at Seletar. and to 春到河畔, my first time! perhaps i've been to one of those when i was still a small girl. but you can imagine how long ago that was, considering that i cant even recall.

all thanks to sis meh who balloted on my behalf while i was on my way to school on friday. i have to agree that it's not based solely on ranking. some other criteria plays a part. not gonna say it cos it'll spread and everybody else will start doing what im doing. hehe.

yes you can see that friday is somewhat hell-ish. but it doesnt matter as long as i have my 3-day week. travelling all the way to the other end of the island can be a chore.

helped in Bike Quest '09 booth duty today. from printing posters to setting up the booth to giving out flyers. i like doing this kinda stuff. idk why. it gives me a sense of satisfaction (?) maybe it feels like the ol' times. during guides (: and maybe that is why i enjoyed EC too.

shopping on a weekend kills. more especially so when i have a migraine /: thus no photos taken today. and no CNY purchases too. damnit. chicken rice at Far East Plaza for lunch. Chippy's Cheesy Chicken rocks :D underpass to Scotts Road was so badly choked up there were traffic marshals. crossing the road to Bugis Street was even worse. we had to wait for 3 traffic lights. stuck at the middle platform with curious stares from buses and cars. terrible. no Pig Organ Soup cos we cant locate Queen St/Victoria St (Rocher Ctr). the taxi driver thought we were from China. fuckyou!

3 consecutive lectures. sitting at the same spot. for 6 hours straight. is no joke. serious.

i have only myself to blame. fancy trying to squeeze classes into 3-day week. this is what i got. but i guess it beats having to travel to school every day.

to IMM after school and met sis meh & kenny at macs. lunch at 4pm =.= kenny was doing his project while we talked. i guess its sort of disturbing. HAHA. showed them this map which bro showed me.

shopping with peisi at Bugis Street. that place disappoints me. i'd thought i would be able to lug home a bagful of cheap goodies but i didnt make a single purchase. the mall opposite the street aint any better. so we headed to Chinatown (:

its a yearly affair to walk down the streets with peisi and the hawkers would shout / sing / cheer to attract our attention. we'd walk in the middle of the road to avoid any harrassment. HAHAHA. as always, the uncles this year were entertaining. had us in stitches :D





peisi went home while i went to find sis meh at Taka. sis, your mum looks younger & younger everytime i see her. pretty (: called sharon, half suspecting she fell into a drain, cos she didnt answer any of our calls. HAHA. dinner at Mos Burger.

OMG. i've got no idea what's Differentiation?! blame it that i dont have Amaths background. i hurriedly searched through bro's old books and decided to teach myself some Maths.




its horrible! i almost wanted to cry. but at least i managed to solve a couple of sums. it isnt easy AT ALL ok. i need to work extra hard this time round (:

back from Bike Quest '09 Dry Run (:

THURS, 8JAN.
kathy & i were super late cos we got lost while on our way to ECP. we wandered through the housing estates trying to find The Underpass but ended up at the Wrong Underpass. nevertheless it led us to somewhere in ECP and we found our way to BK. it surprised us that BK was empty (!!!) till we saw a big group of students at a corner. shijie came and brought us over. with more than 20 pairs of eyes staring, it was indeed awkward. and im supposed to be the Asst. PR Head. HAHAHA.

so then kathy & i were grouped with desmond, who's one half the programmers of Zone Charlie. the whole Bike Quest was divided into 4. Zones Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta. the route practically covered the whole island. i pity the Dry Run Cyclists; they looked like they can K.O. any moment and lacked sleep, water, food, pee.


we initially thought we would be Cyclists but since there wasnt enough facilitators, we were pulled there. thankfully facilitators had the simplest job scope, which was to wait for Cyclists to arrive, then give them something to play/solve and award them points.

the 12 of us squeezed into *Fatso's van. kathy & i sat infront and helped to read the map and give directions. yeh it was a terrible mistake. girls cant read maps!!! HAHAHA. we refered to some outdated map and gave directions that Botanic Gardens was near SMU. but that was the old SMU, now NUS (bukit timah campus)! we went round and round; the poor ppl behind suffered from carsickness and popped mints every 10 seconds. halfway through, some of them started to KB. kathy & i freezed as the aircon blew full blast right into our faces. the van stalled twice and braked abruptly several times. i can hear the ppl behind being thrown back and forth. thank goodness for seatbelts or kathy & i would have flung ourselves against the windscreen.

after dropping off everyone else, we landed at the last stop - Kallang Leisure Park. its my first time there and we had to spend the night infront of the main entrance like homeless delinquents.


desmond kathy & i sat inside the Hong Kong Cafe till closing (1230am). and came up with our Tangram (:




FRI, 9JAN.
we then explored the area. walking around the mall and Indoor Stadium. also trying to find powerpoint cos i wanted to charge my phone. the night (morning) was bitterly cold. i didnt bring a jacket. i clenched my fist whenever the wind came.








ended up at level 2, pillar X of the mall, thankful that the mall only closes at 3am since there's Kbox and Theatres. we talked alot since there was nothing to do. desmond's a year 1 econs major too. he loves food too. he loves Taiwan dramas too. that gives us plenty to talk about. and i reckoned i have unattractive blood cos kathy & desmond were attacked by blood suckers. badly.


the main comm ppl came at about 2am and we played Asshole Daidi. i swear my seat is jinxed cos i was on a losing streak for consecutive X times. zikang (?) was the king. damnit. they left at about 330am after driving us to pee at McDonalds.


we got kinda tired we stoned for awhile. desmond ate curly fries. then we thought of some entertainment ideas for the actual Bike Quest next month.




was texting shijie and making him feel guilty for dragging me into this dumb thing. at the same time pitying his plight cos he was stationed at SOTA which looks haunted in the wee hours of the morning.


we were so exhausted we hallucinated. HAHA. and the camp feeling came again. at 430am a group of Cyclists finally arrived and we had them solve our Tangram. the main comm ought to do something about this Bike Quest. its ill-planned in a way /:


shijie called at 6am and decided to join us. so Zone Charlie 1 and Charlie 2 merged temporarily. yeehong & him fell asleep.

the place we call home that night

desmond became a little unusual (i presumed its the effects of sleep deprivation). he did morning exercise (?) outside 7-11. i laid on the cold, hard, concrete floor. the morning was so chilly i felt my body shiver.


at 7am, shijie & yeehong returned to their station at SOTA. the mall opened. kathy & i went to pee and refreshed ourselves. i cant believe we endured all of these. sorry kathy. i feel damn guilty. i shall spare you the agony of going through all these again (: now who wants to join me on 7feb? you dont have to be an NUS student. hehe.


shijie called at 730am, wanting to share cab home. our station was closed then so kathy & i walked to SOTA. which was said to be a 5 minutes walk but we took like 15 to 20 minutes! cabbed to sis meh's place. she made pancakes for breakfast.



while eating, sis' neighbour came home so we went to play with little Davien & Claudette. they're super cuties :D we went back at about 1030am and i K.O. on sis' bed while listening to her talk on the phone. when i came to, i thought it was like next day. fell into a really deep sleep. sis said i didnt move an inch. i think i looked like a dead person. HAHA.


went on with shopping trip at about 130pm. Suntec Ichiban for lunch. shopped till evening. half the time i was a zombie, not knowing where we were going and what we were doing. but im still amazed at my energy (:




reached home for dinner and fell asleep at 8pm. i woke up only today just before noon.


*Fatso is the driver. idk his name but shijie kept calling him Fatso.


p/s. bro has gotten himself a part time job at some cafe at Esplanade.
