Work's beginning to get tough. Especially the past week when my boss is not around, so lots of pressure from my Director is coming directly to me. I have no idea why everybody's coming to me when they have questions regarding our team. Whoever gave them the idea that I'm the point-of-contact?! Or maybe I'm just being too helpful at work.

One new colleague came on Monday, and he's working alongside my boss. So we're now a 9-men team (inclusive of 2 leaders). In the next couple of months, one more guy is joining us. Slowly but surely, it is evident that we need more help, or we'll all die.

This battlefield week was crazy. On 2 of the weeknights, I worked till 10.30pm, and was the first to reach office the next day. I know many people tell me "no point working so hard", but I guess it's hard to explain to people the sense of responsibility. I can jolly well push everything 'to tomorrow', but I won't be able to face the consequences 'when tomorrow comes'.

Oh well, nobody said being a bank officer is gonna be easy.

Also, I had 2 dinner gatherings this week. Just one picture each, until I find the time to edit photos.

十兄弟 with their partners. I'm so happy for Keeguan because he's finally attached! This guy is such a good catch (like super sweet, considerate, helpful, good-natured) but always gets made-used-of by girls. Now he's in the safe hands of Huiqi, and I wish them happy & loving & blissful always. X

Derkoon & Yixuan, Huiqi & Keeguan, Xuefen & Yeesheng, Dennis & myself, Kenghong, Kaichun & Linda.

AK full force! For Veralyn's birthday as well as Yushu's farewell. She's going to Korea for 5 weeks! Awesome :D

Siewhoon, Yushu, Veralyn, Weili, Felina, myself, Kathy, Sabrina.

Haha ok I have absolutely no idea why I have to list down everybody's names.

So back to the main point of this entry: I've overworked. And my body's telling me so.

I had a terrible body ache on Friday night. I knew it was a sign of impending fever. But I was still stubborn and worked till 10.30pm. Silly me. Didn't get enough sleep and fell ill on Saturday. The strange thing was I didn't have any fever, or sore throat, or flu, or cough. Just terrible aches all over my body. So piercing the pain, I could feel it in my bones ):

Still had to trudge to NUS to collect my graduation gown. So thankful boyf was with me to help me carry my barangs. And his parents were uber sweet to pick us up. I don't know how else to express my gratitude, except "thank you aunty & uncle" (':

After a quick lunch (century egg porridge my fav!), we drove home so that I could spend the whole day sleeping.

It was such a bummer because we bought the deal on BigDeal.sg - $10.90 nett / pax for K Happy Session and we even booked a slot at Kbox. We had to forgo that and be treated as "deal redeemed". So sad ):

But boyf said if we'd insisted on Kbox, I would've gotten really ill (without rest), and have to spend more money on doctor & medicine. That's true; I instantly felt better :D

I make a funny face and I look like asdfghjkl;; Boyf makes a funny face and he looks cute.
Promise to blog more often because I'm gonna make sure I don't work so hard, plus boyf's going on a short getaway with the Aspire team, so more me-time! (:

I've never been to the food fare at Expo because I've always thought it's gonna be so crowded and smelly and what-not. But I was wrong. Ok it was kinda crowded, and smelly, but I had a great time!

Food was really just average. I don't get why it's called a food fare when it's more like pasar malam in an air-conditioned hall.

Is this year's theme satay? Cos I do spot lots of stalls selling satay. Katong Laksa was there but according to the boyf, not very nice. We also tried the "yu geng" or something along that line. He said it's a nice street food from Taiwan but I felt it was ok. It's like pieces of fish cake like thingy in thick broth (I only like the yumms vinegar).

We also had orh wa mee sua. Oyster vermicelli. And here's boyf trying to give that demure-yet-wanna-show-that-food-is-yummy look! Hahahahaha :D

We ended off the evening with Garrett popcorns! Chicago mix is super finger licking good! Ultimate combination of CheeseCorn & CaramelCrisp.

Sneaked this bag into the cinema for Kungfu Panda 2! Boyf and I really enjoyed this show, accompanied by childrens' laughters in the theatre. Po, the panda is soooo cute & funny! Till next time! (:

I was blog-hopping when I came across a blog of this beautiful model, whose boyf just went to Australia for a year. As I read her entries (although mostly pictures and very little words), I felt I could relate to her. It's 41 days till my boyf flies, but the days pass so damn fast. Arghhh!

"I didn’t plan on falling in love with you, and I doubt if you planned on falling in love with me. But once we met, it was clear that neither of us could control what was happening to us. We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. For me, love like that has happened only once and that’s why every minute we spent together has been seared in my memory. I’ll never forget a single moment of it."

Hellooo! Super have the blogging mood these days so here goes!

Since my beloved boyf is flying to the States in another 44 days, we planned a whole lot of stuff to do together. Like mid-week dinner dates and such. Yesterday was cycling & picnic day, followed by a movie. But the weather was so grumpy, it rained damn heavily just 2 hours before we decided to set off to the beach. Bummer!

So being the boy scout/girl guides couple that we are, we have a back up plan! Read: Be Prepared. Hahahaha. We decided to go on a shopping spree in conjunction with GSS! :D

But before that, lunch first.

Boyf suggested to me the day before, "since we are going to the beach, why don't you prepare some picnic food then we can eat after we cycle!" I was racking my brains for ideas when he said "since we're watching X-Men, why don't you prepare X-Men themed food!"

Greatttttt huh. What a creative darling I have.

So this was what I came up with - Wolverine Claws with Iceman Iceberg Lettuce! How? Creative not? ;D

Looking silly eating lasagne with chopsticks :P

Full & fed (fat), now it's time for shopping. We were primarily looking for a pair of cheap sneakers, but the Carebears poster at Uniqlo caught our attention!

Boyf first saw an ad about Carebears t-shirts retailing at Uniqlo but was disappointed each time we passed by Uniqlo and didn't see it. But yesterday, the t-shirts were in store (Tampines 1)! Excitedness! :D Picked a couple of designs to try and finally settled with this.

I think it's the last piece there so don't jealous. I really love this shirt!! Thankiewboyfriend! :D

Also managed to pick up 2 items for him, and 2 more items for myself (from another shop). Happy buys man! 5 items for only $99.70!!! :D

Continued shoe shopping but wasn't very successful, because I have a really cheapo boyf who won't give up until he finds a damn cheap pair! So giam! :P After dropping by all the shoe shops (Adidas, Converse, World of Sports, Sportslink, Running Lab), my back hurts so much I kept having to bend over. Feels old ):

Headed to the boyf's place cos he said he had "a couple of surprises" for me! So lame to tell me because no surprise after that already. I was EXPECTING something already!!! Anyway I was still very very happy that he secretly went to the PC Show by himself and bought me (i) headphones with mic, (ii) hard disk!! :D Thankiewboyfriend x2!!

Dinner at home before heading to Causeway Point for X-Men: First Class!

Super nice can!! Boyf didn't wanted to watch with me because he reckon that I would bombard him with questions at the end of the movie. But the only question I had for him was "the war between Russia & US is for real?"

HAHAHAHAHA my history is terrible!

And as boyf was sending me home last night, I emo-ed thinking about his upcoming trip to the States. I'm so weak mentally; I could only think about missing him & missing the good times. A quote to remind me to be strong! (:

I know this is a random picture but I'm doing a really random update anyway. Had a good week, both at work and at home, and I'm thankful for that. Went to visit a chiropractor with the boyf and it was an awesome experience. Thank you #Groupon for that deal. We still have 3 more treatments to go, and will update once we're done with that.

Can you believe it: the doctor did a test on me, and we realised I'm actually resting two-thirds of my weight on my right feet/body, while in a relaxed standing posture!! Gosh that's terrible! I don't distribute work evenly around my body.

Work wise, I'm taking over 3 more teams (totaling 7) coming July. Gee gonna be busy!

Alright, cannot wait to spend my weekends with the boyf! Oh and bro just got enlisted yesterday! Good luck didi hope all is well! :D

Movie date with my boyf one Saturday afternoon, we caught Lost Bladesman!

It's about the Three Kingdoms. If you're as clueless as me, click here. Hahaha. After the movie, I got boyf to explain to me the story. And when I got home, I even asked bro to elaborate abit more. Ya, I suck at Chinese history.

Afterwards we went to support Jaye at his gig at *Scape! We were slightly late, so only watched about 8 items. I wanted to upload my favourite one on Youtube but some of the videos mysteriously disappeared from my SD card. And the rest have been transferred to Jaye. Bummer now I can't share their awesome performance. Only one pic I took on my phone.

Side note, I'm addicted to random online games. First, I was playing Bakery Story on my phone, which was very much alike Restaurant City on Facebook. Leveled up pretty quickly and it gets abit boring. Then downloaded Angry Birds but I don't derive much fun from shooting pigs with birds. Then I found Farm Frenzy while waiting for some videos to load. No kidding! I actually fell for their marketing trap!

I was on some website, waiting to watch some elections video, but it took super long to long. And then came this side bar, asking if I wanna try some games. I thought Farm Frenzy looked good so I clicked and got hooked! Omgwtfbbq!

As if Farm Frenzy's not enough, boyf recommended me Virtual City, and even downloaded it on my PC. It's a micro-management game but much more fun because you have to score points at every level by completing missions. Points can be exchanged for new buildings, facilities, etc. It's so addictive that I played 10 levels at one go -.-

And to make matters worse, I went to download Paradise Island on my phone. It's similar to Virtual City, except that there are no missions to complete, so you just try to level up! By managing your own island. So addictive to unlock new buildings!

Ok, hope everyone had a great weekend! I can't wait to blog more. To all you people out there,

Hi there, oh-my-goodness what happened to me tryna blog once a week!

It's June now, so almost a month since I last updated. Should I change this to a monthly update instead? Anyway, I'm just here to say a quick hello and give a jot a to-blog list, to remind myself what I must do!

1. Pay-day treat to Regina at Sushi Tei with food review to be up on food blog

2. Movie date (Lost Bladesman) & Jaye's gig at *Scape

3. Cameron Highlands getaway (more about this below)

4. Yushu's 21st party

5. Movie date (Kungfu Panda 2) & Food Fare at Expo

Yup these should be the main bulk, and I will try to blog short picture posts if I have the time. Oh ya, with regards to the Cameron Highlands getaway; it's my first overseas trip with the boyf and I was so excited about it! Sadly, daddy still doesn't "like" Dennis, much less allow me to go overseas with him. Hence, I had to tell a white lie that I went with my ex-colleagues. Sigh what a lame lie but I have no choice. Kept this trip a super low profile one just because I don't want to do any explanation. Alright, there you go! Time to do laundry (:
