Met up with Sisters on 21-Apr for dinner at Somerset 313. Been such a long time since I last saw sis Ting! Really glad the four of us could make it this time round. Sis Noi recommended Paradise Inn. The food's awesome, except that it took so long to arrive. Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes while your food gets cooked to perfection! Check out my food review here.
We're all overjoyed when sis Ting shared her pregnancy a couple of months back. It's gonna be a baby girl. Time to play dress up :D We were in awe and fascination as she described how she discovered her pregnancy and how it felt like being a mother-to-be. The excitement and curiosity is so thrilling! We certainly cannot wait for baby Clarisse's arrival.
On the same day, my department decided to hold a mini birthday celebration for my Director. They decorated his room with some balloons and we had a cake-cutting session thereafter. I'm beginning to adapt well to this environment (:

Met up with my favourite girls - Shingzers on Good Friday, for lunch at Dhoby Ghaut/Bugis. Wanted to try strictly pancakes but they were closed from 2pm to 6pm (weird timings!) Headed to PoMo and settled down at Lerk Thai. Check out my food review here.
Choosing a place to eat is always a chore...
I had lunch at boyf's place earlier in the day so I ordered desserts. Super yums; I love how Thai desserts always have tons of coconut milk! :D
Last minute invitation to Rick's birthday BBQ at Aloha Changi that evening so we parted ways at about 6-ish. Hitched a ride from Sam and on the way there, Zirong called to answer my question "is everything ok?"
Quite sad to hear about his current relationship status but I guess it's always better now than later. Be it personality differences, plans for the future, etc, these things should be cleared as and when they arise. To look on the bright side, at least they sorted it out before marriage. (Think Michelle Chia and Shaun Chen's divorce, sad much.)
I was the "satay girl" during the BBQ busy cooking for everyone. I don't understand why people don't enjoy BBQ-ing! It's quite fun actually :D Just one photo of awesome food. Side note: BBQ Wholesale has the yummiest garlic bread ever! Or maybe I can "peng" it to perfection *salivates*

Went to Chinatown for dinner on Saturday with boyf's family. Our favourite porridge place - Tiong Shian. I had previously done a food review here. So you can check it out! Boyf ordered something new this time - mixed porridge consisting of intestine and liver. Super delicious!!
We also had BBQ wings. I was nursing a cough, so didn't get a chance to taste. Boyf said it was better than Newton and Bedok 85.

Boyf hadn't been to Pagoda Street in such a long time; he couldn't even recall having come to this place before. I think the last time I went was during CNY in 2010, so the shops were still vaguely familiar. It's kinda cute to see him being fascinated about the place.

Ending off this update with a huge-ass picture of us! ♥
Hope you had a good rest this May Day, see you soon! xx
