did my fieldtrip this morning by following dad to a Buddhist Temple. i think i take fantastic pictures. wahahaha.

attended a 90mins meditation session and nope, i have yet to attain enlightenment. i think its really hard. i can barely concentrate! like i keep thinking about my 3 submissions due this Friday when im supposed to focus on my breathing. roars.

i wanna tweak the layout of my blog a little but i have no time! maybe it will be a gradual change so i can make minor adjustments here and there. like how i've added in the comments part so i'll prolly remove my tagboard soon.

right, im drained.

taxing from midweek onwards because the finals will be here in roughly a month. lectures are getting harder to comprehend and it really doesnt help to get a sudden bout of rashes. heat rash i suspect. almost dying from the itch sometimes i wanna tear the whole piece of flesh out.

i think it looks like some kind of disease. maybe there's a lethal mutation in my chromosomes right now and im going to die? hmmm.

cosplay spotted (in and) out of Marché.

i received two carebears to add to my collection :D thanks regina. she's sucha sweet girl sometimes.

and i just realised that there were FOUR new carebears for me to collect. have got the purple one already. i want the yellow, the orange and the pink. heh.

record-breaking pause from blogging. HAHA. been too busy with too many things. be warned that i have tons of stuff to write (:

MY CUTE KOREAN TUTOR

on tuesday i was called up by my cute Korean tutor (CKT) during Econs tutorial.

CKT: "i want a girl to do question 4. there are already 3 guys. how about the middle girl in the last row?"

Middle girl: "i didnt do my tutorial."

CKT (showing signs of upset): "do you know how this class fared for the mid terms? about half of you got 18-19 and the other half got 0-2. upon 30!! this is very bad. im very willing to help you but you have to make an effort - like doing your tutorials. im usually not this kind but you really must help yourself first. the mid terms results is already like this and you still dont want to do you tutorials?!"

CKT: "ok, nevermind. how about the girl next to you?"
(points to girl on the right of middle girl)

Next girl on the right: "i also didnt do"

CKT: "ok (pause, shows displeased look) how about the girl next to you?"

Next girl happen to be me!!!

i pretended to look down on my paper and CKT said loudly "YOU!"

i looked up and saw him pointed at me so i had no choice but to nod weakly and went to write my answers on the whiteboard, while CKT explained the first 3 questions.

just when i thought i was safe, we went on to question 4 and he called me up again!! to explain how i obtained the graph. i immediately apologised that i wasnt sure of the mathematical calculations so i sketched a graph but he insisted i should explain to the class.

and so i mumbled something about Fixed Costs, which i knew was wrong. and i realised i didnt know what i was rubbish-ing about and told CKT as softly as possible "sorry i think my answer is wrong, i really dont know how to do."

he said it was alright and at least i tried my best, and then speaking as softly as me, he explained step by step on the board! i could hear the rest of the class talking among themselves already. he showed me the correct graph and calculation and wanted me to repeat his explanations just to make sure i understood everything.

towards the end of the class, he clarified to the class that he wasnt out to humiliate anyone but wanted to make sure we understand (:

well, i think my cute Korean tutor is very nice.

SCHOOL RELATED

i went for Geog Lab on tuesday and was tasked to do a group report that was due that same week. thankfully it wasnt so hard despite failing Geog back in sec school days. we had to plan 3 routes ranging Easy - Moderate - Hard for Bukit Timah, taking into consideration the length, duration, steepness of slope, water bodies and streams.

i got back my freaking essay and got a freaking B- (thats below average btw)

on a lighter note, my Macroecons results is out. super satisfied even though the marker was damn lenient. i scored full 10 marks for writing 2 lines. but still, yay!

p/s. help me click on nuffnang ads. thanks (:

my first time at Marché and i loved it :D whats unique - the cashless system so you just have to present the guest card when ordering. payment at the cashier after your meal. the ambience and concept of the restaurant (: but you have to surrender your identification to go outta the restaurant to the washroom. nice experience nevertheless!

their mascot

sisting "organic drinks sweet or not ah?"

their signature dish - Rösti (which is actually fried shredded potato). we ordered with Chicken Cheese Sausage. the whipped cream look-alike that came with it was actually Sour Cream but not the least sour - its like tasteless cream.

one whole Kampong Chicken, well marinated but the mushroom sauce that came with it was diluted and a little tasteless ): but it was grilled rather well so you can eat it just on its own.

Hawaiian Pizza was piping hot when it came out of the oven but we left it on the table for quite a while before consuming it. turns out the base was hard and not crisp.

i love mushrooms so i definitely like Mushroom and Cheese Crepe. yummmm (:

for people who cant stand milk, this Cream of Mushroom is probably a little too creamy and milky. the taste is just right for me but its not warm enough. i think the best i had was at Sizzlers.

shit, how come i dont have a photo of the Seafood Pasta?! it was delicious :D

what a spread :D

overall, it was a good dining experience with waitresses clearing your used plates promptly. we had an excellent view of whats going on outside with a window seat. there were 4 of us but we were given a 7-seater during late lunch hour. lovely! the Rösti people could have shouted less though.

p/s. we saw zirong's sister at the next table but forgot her name /:

i just realised the mind cafe is NOT called minds cafe. HAHAHA. not really a big deal but good to get names right. anyway we played more intellectual games this time round. i love the last game, whats that called? oh ya, that's life (:

IGLOO POP
set up the game but it was too complicated to play so we ditched it.

PINK ELEPHANT
you're supposed to act out whatever's on the card and the others would have to guess it. one of my fav!

JENGA (TRUTH OR DARE)
self-explanatory.

GUESS WHO
a very quick game where you have to guess the person on your opponent's card. ask yes or no questions like "does the person wear a cap?" and depending on the answer, flip down the cards on your board until you're down to the last 2. you have to correctly guess the person to win. (peisi is damn good at this!)

CHAIN GAME
word game - we dont like.

BLOKUS
omg this is super fun. you have to cover as much territory as possible while trying to block (deprive) the others from putting their tiles.

EXPRESS IT, SAY IT
roll the dice to determine whether you draw, say or act (express), and then pick a card. if the card says "disappointed" and you're suppose to say it, pick another card which contains a phrase, for example "ok class, we're going to have a surprise test today". try to say it in a disappointed way. HAHA.

THAT'S LIFE
the rules are quite complicated, but once you get the hang of it, its damn fun. very intellectual you must think HARD.

people pictures to be up after edit (:
