finally done editing/sieving out photos to post from my batam trip! took me 3 weeks. haha. 96 pictures in all, of which i will upload selectively here, and the rest on FB (:
o5 June o9met up at Harbourfront at 1745hrs to collect our ferry tickets. guess who i bumped into?!

CHUNHWEE! on his way to play mahjong. haha. i didn't know it was him initially but this guy was pulling a luggage bag and walking at snail's pace in front of me. i couldn't stand it and wanted to overtake, that's when i realised. dumbo slowpoke.
collected our white cards, health cards, travel vouchers, boarding passes and KTM Resort stickers.
regina was so blur in filling up the health card; she made many mistakes and had to fill in a new card.
to the ferry! vessel name -
Golden Image.

was feeling a little unwell prior to the trip and boarding the ferry made it worse ):

i got so seasick i nearly puked. nobody had sweets or anything like that so i was practically suppressing my vomit?! anyway it was a terrible terrible experience. time seemed to tick by so slowly. halfway during the journey, the air-conditioning suddenly became damn cold and i felt that i would be better off dead.
arrived at Batam one gruelling hour later but due to time difference, we departed and arrived at the same time! so amazing right.
after customs clearance and all, we spotted a KTM Resort staff waiting for us. immediately, another guy approached us and said (in bad English), "when you need taxi, you tell him (points to KTM Resort staff), i will come and pick you up".
i nodded happily "ok, ok", while the rest walked away =.=
i am a friendly tourist. LOL.
went into KTM's minivan to find that we're the only 4 tourists!! i think the bulk of the ferry passengers were heading to Holiday Inn.
the roads to the resort were long, uneven, and winding. plus there was no street lights so it was kind of scary. our lives depended on the driver, who depended on the beam from the minivan's headlights.
our resort was located at a real ulu place; it can be quite daunting. after collecting our keys & breakfast voucher, we settled for dinner at the resort's restaurant.

==============================BUTTER PRAWNS
DEEP FRIED CHICKEN
BABY KAILAN IN OYSTER SAUCE
HOTPLATE BEANCURD OMELETTE
RP202,400 = S$29.33==============================the restaurant is just beside the sea but there was no breeze! totally still air plus sitting with 3 smokers. i was suffocating!proceeded to our cottage after dinner. idk why the weather there seemed to be warmer than in Singapore. we kept pespiring even when standing next to the sea. so so weird.
into our cottage!

blast the air-conditioning to 16degrees. unpacked our stuff, showered, watched channel 8 news (ALL mediacorp channels were available!!), boiled water, smoked, played asshole dai di, watched bfb, slept.
o6 June o9[DAY 2]complimentary breakfast at the same restaurant. was expecting some cakes / buns / kuehs, but none of them turned up. instead we had rice, noodles, omelettes & toasts. i must say the food's not very nice. maybe because Singapore is already a food heaven?!

Spa Villa appointment at 0830hrs . we had a 45minutes aloe vera body scrub first. it was indeed an experience cos they scrubbed every single part of your body! yes, butts & breasts included. i felt so helpless lying naked on the massage chair. HAHA.
after that was a 45minutes hydrobath. super shiok!! imagine yourself soaking in warm bubble bath with jacuzzi, looking out into the sea. totally rich tai-tai feel!
last part was a 45minutes full body massage. again, nude & helpless. i dont understand how people can sleep while being massaged, unless maybe you're really that tired.
back to the resort cos victor wanted to wash off all the "disgusting massage oil". took a cab down to Harris Resort for sea sports. only tried jet ski cos it was already damn expensive. S$35 for 20minutes. but the experience was indescribable.

i totally don't know how to drive / never did the sport before, and they threw me onto the jet ski. with an instructor who don't speak English. he just placed my hand on the steering wheel and said "go!" we were out in the sea.
i love it that the sea mirrors the sky. so beautiful (:

decided to explore the place abit, to find food, and came across this Japanese restaurant.

went inside to find that it's empty. it is no wonder once you look at the menu; they charge exorbitant prices for seemingly below average food.
left with no choice but to head back to KTM for lunch.
was damn shocked to discover that they've given us a different menu (we suspect as The Weekend Menu) cos prices were about 30% higher. WTH.

==============================CEREAL PRAWNS
GARLIC CHICKEN
KANGKUNG BELACAN
THAI FISH FILLET
3 (NOT SWEET AT ALL!) COCONUTS
RP325,490 = S$47.17==============================(damn ex!!!)
jay slept, victor smoked his life away, regina showered, i watched tv - all the way till dinner time.
went to the reception to ask if there were other eating places around that area, they replied there was a "cafe". i super happily asked for directions etc, until i realised they were refering to the Mama Shop.
fine.
we had to eat resort food again.

==============================TOMYUM SEAFOOD SOUP
CREAMY CORN SOUP
PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE
SEAFOOD FRIED RICE
RP231,040 = S$33.48
==============================opted for room service cos we wanted to watch Boys Before Flowers.

played while watching ζη.

i asked regina to do 10 poses. LOL.
