yay! 2 papers down, 3 more to go :D i cant believe it took me about 40 minutes to bus to school from Clementi. late for my first paper by 2 minutes. roars.

had 2 encounters with old women today. was dozing off otw to school this morning when someone kicked my leg. it felt like someone accidentally tripped over so i ignored until i hear "eh, 让位给我坐" (let me have this seat) i looked up to see an elderly and immediately apologised. for what, idk.

otw home from school another old woman stopped me and asked to help her purchase a standard fare ticket to Bukit Batok cos she didnt know how to use the machine.


rowena & sharon called to ask if i was interested to go back to work this holidays. of cos i said yes. its terribly hard to get a job nowadays. even NTUC Income rejected. hope HR approves! (:

have been restraining myself from going online for the past week and i did it! what great achievement. haha. and now i have to clear 57 emails and 34 FB notifications =.= mugging since Mon with jieying & kathy at NUS, and then in TP from Thu to Fri with peisi, aimee & kaden. i shall take a break and resume later on? or maybe tmr. haha. ok bye.

weather check at my dad's room thermometer and it says 31 degree celsius. oh my gosh. the surrounding still air is making me pespire again! just right after a shower ): damnit. im going to sleep drenched in pespiration later. the air-conditioning is switched on in the bedroom, but funny how i always cant get to sleep with air-con.

these couple of days have been happy days! cos i ditched the books and took a little break. the supposedly mugging session at sis meh's yesterday turned out to be playtime with little Davian :D he is so adorable it's hard not to dote on him. will upload photos & videos soon!

and bcos sis & i havent chit-chatted for a real long time, we just cant stop talking! we've got a real good plan coming right up but for now its a secret. heh.


today i made 4 new friends, Tessa, Zhirong, Minh and Angie from Macroecons tutorial. we suddenly got on really well during group discussion. haha. we even exchanged numbers etc.

i also bumped into Michelle during Geog lecture. she was from my Infosys lecture last sem but had difficulty recalling my identity bcos i look like her "another" friend. hmmm. why's people always telling me i look like their friend? anyway i found it really strange that we had more to talk about, as if we were really close!


so yep, im quite happy yesterday and today. and hopefully tmr as well and the day after, and the day after, and so on (:

stupid cockroach.

so i've decided to meet meiting at the bench beside Coffee Club Express yesterday to do some mugging together. as soon as i comfortably settled myself, i noticed a "dead" cockroach next to my right foot. of course i wasnt afraid of dead ones so i told meiting "eh, dead cockroach leh..." and attempted to kick it away. the moment i kicked, it flew!

omg of course i shrieked lah. its a damn flying cockroach! so we decided to go to the library instead. stupid cockroach.


okays im heading to sis meh's house now to mug. then meeting sharon & zirong in the evening (:

i have always wanted to try Bakerzin, thinking they sell lovely cakes & desserts but i guess i was wrong.

its not as chocolate-y as expected, and i really hated the sponge layer in between.

thursday was the opening of Tampines1 and the crowd was terrible. at 1pm, bro and i went for Uniqlo's opening and i was shocked at the long queue already formed outside the shop!

seeeee, im not even attempting to study.

busied myself for nearly 3 hours in the kitchen yesterday, hoping to whip up a nice dinner. but the result was less than satisfactory ): nope, i didnt burn the kitchen, but the food was "bland". i thought the chicken was alright but bro made it sound as if it was bad. anyway, i cooked potato crumble and chicken kebabs.

mashing potatoes was enough to make my hand go weak i think thats why i cant cook properly thereafter. haha!








i figured i should attempt something less time consuming the next time i cook cos mashing the potatoes took more than 30 mins, so does skewing the kebabs.

i dont know why the pictures turned out so blurred and dark! must be my weak hands.

and here's to share about Genes&Soc. apparently i wasnt the only one displeased with the midterms. i think more than half the lecture group felt likewise - that the paper was too damn hard and the lectures werent comprehensive enough to cover all the tested stuff. i think it was partly due to how the questions were phrased. the setter's command of English was not up to standard. or maybe it was, but Arts students generally has a higher expectation when it comes to English? since we're forced to type essays.


anyway, i dont know why Prof has to set up an anonymous forum. prolly he's afraid that people are too shy to ask questions? but this wrong move caused a couple of "wars"; the Arts VS the Science, the Bio VS the non-Bio.


this is someone from my faculty complaining that the module is too tough to handle. see Prof's reply (yep, Prof's Qingsong from China) and how the Arts dude rebutted.




imo, the Arts dude a tad too rude (?) anyway, there were hundreds and thousands more threads following that. i cant copy and paste all here. but this is one good one.




i dont understand how this guy got the misconception that Arts modules are easy. he probably just took some freaking easy level 1000 - INTRO TO SOMETHING module which can be quite stress-free. try level 2000 of even Southeast Asian at level 1000. they give you hell.

after about a million complaints, the Prof replied,




somehow i think his words makes sense. we're disadvantaged bcos we dont have Bio background but we shouldnt fault him either lah. and then some random guy posted for fun.

super relieved yesterday after turning in all my submissions (: i finally get to do some housework and cook over the weekends. yay.

i cant wait for my short getaway in june. double yay.

the clock says 00:59 now. i know i shouldnt be blogging cos i have 3 submissions due tmr but i cant help it. my geog is kinda screwed bcos my group member are "not as tech savvy as they would like to be". sheesh big bullies. my fieldtrip report is somewhat hopeful. my genes&soc can totally go into the toilet bowl. i need all the help i can get like maybe some fairy godmother would come and finish up my work for me?!

i seriously have to sleep soon (like now?!) bcos i have to get up in less than 6 hours to rush to school to print all the reports before classes start at 10am. all the way no breaks till 6pm. what good life.

in the midst of rushing my 3 submissions due in 2 days time and received a notification to view my Genes&Soc Midterm results.



i fucking failed. i know its only by 1 mark, not a big deal and all but i was hoping very much to pass. i shall share whats happening on the forum soon.
